Yo! Stance!

Excellent cars, they look lovely. Am too scared to own one though.

Pffft. What could possibly go wrong? Says he who's XM is at the menders... (for preventative surgery to be fair).

It is. Lhm flush top of the list? Does the sport light on the dash light up with ignition on then go off a few seconds later?

Mine has never done this. Should get it on a Lexia really. Still haven't done an LHM flush either. Fail.

If its an auto get the fluid changed and make sure its absolutely the right stuff.

Are there any green puddles on your drive?

What flavour engine has it got?

And one last question, do you have an alternative mode of transport?

Looks very like an SM in that photo: similar light arrangement. Saw one being MOTed yesterday, JRG no less, sexy and fucking frightening at the same time.

Mine has regularly gone into autoflush mode.

It's a beautiful car just sitting on my drive

One of mine did a lot of that...

ooh Olympic blue - that's a rare colour. Was it a S1 petrol 2.0 by any chance - they spend longer on the drive than any other?

It was :)  but it was the rotten rear subframe that lead to the arse-high stance you see in that photo.

Is that really the suspension doing that? What happened?

When I had my ecus cleared with a proper lexis the light started doing the right thing, but TBH I didn't notice much difference. Best bit was narrowing the eml down to the turbo sensor, which was swapped out. Was more responsive after that...

I have had a number of versions of XMs (and other assorted tat as well) and my current V6 is my favourite car ever!

No, it was my axle stands doing that :)  Needed to weld up the rear subframe

If I could find the calendar thread, I'd nominate this picture.

Did the XM ride as well as the Renault 30?

+1 on calendar shot.  HNNNGGG @ brown Renault 30:  more please.

bout a month ago I bought an XM, don't really know why. It looks nice though particularly the back lights.

I had fun making it go up & down

XMs are nice too.  Back lights and uppy-downy action are reason enough for buying one, if you ask me.  They're on my bucket list somewhere.

I still have a lockup full of XM spares...  ;)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who wants an XM mainly for the rear lights.  Up-and-down antics and the looks are a good second and third but the lights are the main thing.
