Never really been in to Landrovers, but a while back there was a dealership for UMMMMs in Northampton.  They were cute with their floppy bonnet looks.

Ignoring the lacquer peel, dog hairs and knackered headlining it did look in better condition than mine

for £200 I think it's not bad.

Presumably someone has posted a pic of Marvin the paranoid android (from the original 80's series) by now.

The missus just looked at your pic and said " that's quite nice, better than some of the other weird shit you show me"

Tacit approval if ever I heard it.

From the pics it looks like it's got the "Luxe fit" which was a £517 option, this includes: carpet, soundproofing, posher seats, front spoiler (wtf) and front foglights.

I don't see the front foglights, but I remember seeing a button for them ... I also remeber thinking, bastard, that's something else mine doesn't have, along with carpet, soundproofing and spoiler.

Have been looking at parts prices. They're not bad. Helped greatly by a knackered euro. It is not much more expensive for a brake master cylinder than it is for the rebuild kit.

Well, £200 left my account this morning so I am officially an UMM owner.

£200 is my favourite price to pay for a car - my Messerschmitt was £200, and I bought a Nobel for the same money!

Both of which are more expensive in model form - one time in the States, in an antique center in Lancaster, PA, I spotted a Bandai tinplate messerschmitt in black with red upholstery - it was $600 - told the guy I had a real one at home and it had only cost me $300.

The fogs go in those holes in the valance, I guess.

My seats are nowhere near as posh as yours!

Skattrd

how is yours on the free-wheeling hubs?

FWH are fine on mine, very easy to operate, I can't say I've tried it in 4wd yet though.

Not relevant to umms but I know the actor who played Marvin.

Awfully nice chap who now runs a sweet shop.

veg oil!

now, I hadn't thought about it, but it's an old skool diesel? So, will the Indenor 2.5 td run on veggie?

Has it arrived then? I thought it was delayed.

Vegetarianism is a possibility, if you post pics of fuel pump someone should be able to tell you.

these are from Jan 2014 - from the owner before Dan!

Arrives tomorrow now!

That is so brilliant it almost defies belief.

That looks pretty smart as a van version. I like them a lot.

Interesting that it has a Lincoln (FE) reg number. I wonder who sold UMMs in the county??? Looks like Skattrd repatriated the wrong one...:-D
