Rang around a couple of b&bs near the museum. One asked if I was with the Morgan club. No love, a far more elite group actually. They are having an event that weekend in the area as Mat mentions. In the end Just bought a 9.99 tent from e bay, hope it lasts the night!!

I'm in!  Thanks Matt, someone needed to make this happen.  If I wimp out, it'll be the 940 for optimum comfort, if it's a nice weekend it'll be the CG125 with a tent on the back.  Although crossing the Severn on a provision will be a mission.

Edit: Damn, will have to go back on Saturday if I come, realised I have a triathlon on the Sunday.

Well, if it's in Wales again I hope to get along to it; although probably just to say hello at Devils Bridge, like I did last year in the embarassingly new Suzuki Alto, this year if the Volvo is still going I'll try to attend in that (I suspect most people know what a Volvo estate looks like though) .

 

I have been to Llangollen Museum years ago and at the time they had a few overspill cars in an adjacent field including an old Armstrong Siddeley Coupe with a knackered gearbox.

Saturday is go! We are booked in and the Hafod Hotel currently has rooms - thehafodhotel.wordpress.com if you fancy grabbing one.

 

Last year, while some frequented the bar at the hotel, most brought their own and we chilled in the field. Naturally, weather is an entirely hit-or-miss affair, so we may end up in the pub anyway. I doubt I'll have chance to cobble a quiz together, but I'm sure someone on here has the skills to do just that. Pub will also be serving bar meals for lazy folk. I can possibly get some breakfasts lined up for Sunday - I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue if we ordered the night before. Unless Scotland is doing the fine cuisine again?

Great, I can recommend the hotel, stayed there at sf14 and it was decent value and a great brekky. Actually just booked in again for the Saturday as a follow on from my rickety £9.99 tent for Llangollen on the Friday
