Got morphine and meccano the second time...I hope that he gets back here soon, I'll miss his opinions/madness/SOH while he's not posting!

I heard from Marty this morning and it's not quite the best Despite reconstructive surgery, it looks as if he will not regain full use of his damaged hand and, worst of all, it looks as if he will be spending Christmas in hospital Apart from his hand and arm, he is OK, which is good.It looks as if his motorcycling days are over

I think he can get limited net access via Patientline (those rip off combined TV and phone things over each bed) but it's sporadic. He's having a further operation today on his wrist, I will txt him tonight to see how it went.Anyway, I am in regular touch with him so will tell him all about this thread and everyones best wishes. Thoughts go to his wife Jo, and their 3 kids, its going to be a difficult Xmas for them without Marty there.I am hoping to drive up to Preston on the 27th to see him, I will report back.

The thought of being stuck in hospital for any length of time horrifies me so hopefully he won't be suffering too much. It would cost Mrs L a fortune in magazines etc if I was ever in hospital...
