Everyone's* favourite small car for sale

1997 Vauxhall Corsa 1.5TD (Isuzu engine)

No MOT

No tax.

Pretty rough looking

Needs at least two tyres and there's sure to be other work required.

Plastic pipe 'twixt front of car (air scoop 'thing')and turbo is missing.

Veg oil friendly

Goes like an absolute rocket and they can (I'm told) be tweaked for more boost.

I think both door locks have been barrelled (at least one has) and the driver's door frame has been bent back at some point, common thing with the Corsa B.

Unsure of mileage (will check later)

Towbar fitted.

I wouldn't drive it far on the current tyres so you'd need a trailer or something, but I'm happy to try and find some legal tyres if you're daft enough.

I was going to get another Corsa and do an engine swap but truth be told it'll probably never happen so I'd like my garage back.

£180, collected from Chester. If you're within about 30 miles or so my recovery truck owning mate can probably quote you a decent price.

I can't see a massive queue forming for this like, but worth a shot.

Crikey, this would likely do about a gazillion miles per bottle of veg. Correct?

Ace on fuel and stupidly quick. I had a Nova with the same engine and it was just mental, you could very easily show flashy cars a clean pair of heels.

You've been after one of these for TIME have you not Billy?

Why not fix it up and run it yourself?

Time and enthusiasm, I bought it with my heart, not my head, which was daft. Plus I can put the garage space to much better use!

It's a 5 door? In that case I'm out.

Worth having because it is'nt the three cylinder chain snapper.

Unbelievably, this might be sold.

Famous. Last. Words, etc.

'Buyer' says his Giro has been stopped and he can't afford it.

Every time I read one of your 'for sale' threads, it brings out some of the worst in me.

Most of me genuinely wishes you successful and painless sales but the selfish bit kind of hopes you receive yet another top drawer non-payment/purchase excuse to regale us with.

Soz and all but you do seem to be the Pied Piper of Penniless Pond-life.

It's a bit like a dating agency, but with the hard work cut out. I get a few really fit cars, look for suitable partners and introduce them to each other at Date Stamp Garages.

A little time on their own together, and with me as a chaperone, WCPGW?

You make it sound so civilised.

Do you think you could pair someone off with a celica with a slightly slippy clutch? ;)
