On the road today with the trailer; up north to the "state of early risers".

Short coffebreak and on to Halberstadt, "the gatway to the Harz" to collect what has been grandpa Richard's joy and pride for the last 20 years.

Seconded for the 505 GTi

505 GTI.

Uberdaft tailpipe requires immediate ditchage, though.

Whatcha using for pulling? Is that German? Do you really want to break down?

You're pushing your luck.

I'm going to go 505 V6, just to be a bit different. Colour coded spoiler points at being a series 2, so it's feasible.

This was to easy for the audience! Next time i will have to find something more exotic.

Actually a "505 SX injection", that's how they labeled the 1990 GTI's here.

Actually bought it to strip it for the parts i need to get this up and running:

danielson_engine_600.jpg

in order to get appropiate power under the hood of that:

Now am in a bit of a dilemma, the 505 is in excellent nick.

No rust, runs smooth, fine interior. Old man really cherished it, even paid a new alternator, water pump, batterie and shocks less than a year ago. Would be a shame to break it just for parts....

I will drive it through the winter and then decide... may well be, i will have to find another 505 for the the Danielson engine parts  :? .

Gas station pic of course made at first opportunity:

I plea guilty, will revert back to appropiate pulling device next time.

I know the Tagora is a rare old beast and everything, but from those pictures it would be criminal to break that Pug, I've not seen one look that good in a very long while.

That is one really nice looking car, too good to break.

Went with my buddy Michael, telling our ladies "we are out to collect a rusty crap car just for the parts". The moment we saw the car, we both looked at each other and thought the same: Shit, now we need to find space in the garage for the new family member, explain it to the ladies and still have no parts for the Danielson engine. Life is fun!

That does look nice, be a massive shame to break that really.

Never knew German road traffic laws allowed towing of old French chod. Surely way too unsafe - anything could fall off at any moment!

Nice buy. Don't break the poor thing...

It's only now as a sad old man do I really appreciate what a handsome beast the 505 is.

I want one!

as much as the Tagora is a WHIIIIINNA, breaking up that 505 would indeed be criminal, with out a shadow of doubt.

Haven't seen a 505 in any shape or form for ages. Always thought they looked good though and this one certainly does.
