Live Scammings as it happens......By Boris Tarpits and his cheesy knob

Scammers are so lazy. You'd think they'd come up with something new and interesting if they're depending on your cash.

They keep their scams obvious to make sure they only deal with the most gullible people.

What about the state of the flux capacitor?

That's a vital component, can't forget that!

So gentlepersons, peers and autoskum. what is the scam???

Shirley not an oriental plot to takeover ownership of my motor bicycle through trickery without payment????

He'll pay you, send someone to collect it, the payment will bounce, Paypal reclaim their money from you and he gets a free bike

Sorry but i cheat by having investigated these scams previously

No I think he /she is not a motorcyclist lusting after my scoot but will offer extra payment for me to cash in and pay da courier.

It's easy to think people are stupid who fall for these scams, but I think in right (wrong) circumstances anyone could get scammed. I was once walking along when a guy tries to get me to buy a "raffle ticket" raising funds for a hospital, I declined, he said "do you like Minis, the first prize is a Mini, I gave in and handed over £2 then walked off. I'd been given a printed card with nonsense on. Told someone later, and wondered how he knew I liked Minis. They pointed out I was wearing a mini t-shirt! The odd thing was , this was in the BINI era and I don't really like them?

Has he asked about the Turbo Encabulator yet? If not then it's a 100%/A scam.

He has crap spelling and grammar too. Kill him or burn him, or both.

Can i ask what bike it is please? Reason i ask is about 3 years ago i had a similiar email when i advertised mine on gumtree. God only knows why anyone would want to send a courier and surprise their father with the gift of a 1988 Honda melody with no sidestand. I only asked for 200 quid. I wish i had played along now.

Previously the scams have involved being "paid" for the bike plus some extra money which was to be given to the "courier" who was collecting the bike to pay him as the "buyer" was overseas,  the courier takes the extra money and is never seen again.  Money which goes into an account by fraudulent means (eg stolen cheque) will be taken back by the bank even after the transaction has cleared.

The bike is cheesy knob

I like bikes but admit I'm fucking clueless as to what I'm looking at here... ;)

Had a guy trying to sell me gold dust from Africa on Skype at one point maybe 4 years ago.

I had 4 trucks lined up to head over and collect the stuff - I'll need to see if I can find the chat history but no doubt it's disappeared now.

One of my old school pals, that I've not seen for 20 odd years, is falling for the Nigerian babe scam on the internet...you know the one where some good looking, usually South American looking beauty is posing in an American apartment or home with come to me big boy eyes.

Silly bugger reckons he's going to marry her!

There's no telling him of course.....mental!

^Discovered that an ex was having an online affair with a Romanian beauty*. Not sure whether I booted him out for being unfaithful or for being fucking stupid ...

Some of the scams (including this one) are so old that anyone who falls for 'em needs to have "If it looks too good to be true, it 99.999% certainly is." tattooed backwards on their forehead so they see it every time they look in the mirror. Most prey on greed (the "you're the sole survivor of the family of Mr Smith who was tragically fatally bitten by a rabid yak in Outer Mongolia" or "I'm an evil dictator who has seen the error of my ways now I have terminal headlice and I'd like you to launder my $986squillion for charitable purposes and take a cut for your time.") or need (dating scams - wonder if gtd2000's friend will cotton on when he's asked for a contribution for a visa for "her" to fly over ...).

Sounds much like the Match.com scam on the news yesterday, how did one person get taken for £175k? I can sort of understand getting taken in and losing a few hundred £175 sodding grand is something else.

Craig fuckface he now say

what do you really need from me to complete the sales?

Plugged in the digital recorder and called PayPiss customer services and talked about fraudulent transactions and their responsibilities such as contacting the account holder to say there may be some fishy stuff going on with an unauthorized payment and not waiting for the account holder to try and sort it out  by finding a hole in their finances then having to go via PayPiss  "resolution center" crap and open a "dispute".  A pro-acive response to stop PayPiss fraud, unfortunately they could only read from their stock answer list and got stuck in the loop of "if it's a motor vehicle we don't cover it with buyer protection".

Hi Craig fuckface,

Just the usual paperworks so I don't get fined and your courier arrested for carrying a stolen vehicle.  name, address and I/D for the  transfer of ownership forms V55/5,  SORN declarations and transfer of Road Fund Licence.  They also need some form of I/D to use the company Paypal account to send the Money Request

Also do you need the service receipts as at the checkover Tayne serviced the flux capacitor but forgot to stamp it in the service manual?

Regards

Boris

Craig fuckface he now say..

They will surely give that to you on there arrival to pickup the vehicle and also all you need to send me the paypal money request is my email...

Posted

Hi Craig fuckface,

We need to infill the transfer of ownership forms V55/5,  SORN declarations and transfer of Road Fund Licence before as they will take several time to register on the DVLA system and if your address is not coherently resident they will impede your application by rejections then your courier will not having essential authorisation exists for collections. If your courier arrives without these corrections at my compound then guardian no entry given and time wasted with no regrets taken.

The name, address and I/D for the papers and when papers complete and newly available then courier.

Paypal is through company account so need I/D informations for anti fraud regulation or they don't exist everytime for Money Requests.

Boris

Hi Craig fuckface,

I have the copy of service and will need your father's ZIT code to transfer the warranty or the bike won't be covered, also I'll scan the transfer of ownership forms V55/5 and send for you to fill in.

How are you going to pay the V55/5 DVLA  £17-50 re-registration fee as they don't take Paypal?

Regards

Boris

I bet he asks you to stump up the £17.50 and add it to the total.

BTW who was asking what type of cheesy knob it is? It's a Sachs B-805, if I'm not mistaken, which makes it a rather unusual cheesy knob.

Some of his language might suggest Indian rather than African.

This is fun though. Carry on......

I thought the same, we deal with Indians in our off shore team at work and the patter seems similar (not that they are scammers) but the words used in context are very similar.

Give him an address just up the street for collection. Then you can lol at the fucker from the comfort of your own bay-window.

It be gr9 to dupe the scammer into giving you some money. Counterscamattack.

This is illegal and therefore not recommended (you'd be no better than the scammer's intentions ...).

Don't forget the Motor Vehicle Export Regulations Act (1764) Section 934(d)(iii), which require the proposed recipient to provide proof of eligibility to drive the bike and waive all responsibility for any accidents that may occur once the bike is in their possession and any other requirements you can think of.
