Got a link?

i haven't, but i think it got glued on the bottom of your original for sale ad!

That van looks familiar. Not sure if I have seen it about the wilds of Cambridgeshire or on my ebay, classic cars, distance - nearest first search.

Whereabouts in out fine county was it lurking?

That's flipping class. There's a scrap C reg van on the farm at the back of my house, not that its any use to you away up in Scotland!

Hey all your van needs now is a mud splattered scale saloon model Blu-Tac'd to the dash!

It's useful to him if it's got a decent rear light cluster that's post-able.

If there'd a usable rear passenger cluster and gear knob on it, there will be CASH MONEYZ heading your way.

CHA'RIS.

See I understood that perfectly.

Just up the road so I probably have seen it about.

I imagine it was owned by a man who wears overalls with a bit of string for a belt and wellies all year round.

The chap in Ireland who is putting a diesel into his has a very good youtube channel, he's called peugeotcitroen2cv, I would put a link to it but its early on a Saturday and the coffee hasn't kicked in yet. Lots of good vids for all sorts of motors on his channel.

I R jealous: that is an awesome van.

(I would have posted sooner, but I has knackered my lap-top's wireless connectivity, and so haven't been on Autoshite since yesterday morning other than a quick go at work last night on my phone.)

I want to see your cock knob. Show us your wood in big dirty close up.

Hey Vulg there's a Princess husk next to it too!

Tell me more.  Or just show me a picture.  Either's good.

Sweet as! Leave the stripes on Jon, maybe paint over the tide marks. I reckon you should go all "Albert Ross" and paint 'SECURITY' down the sides seeing its pretty much the same colour as ole' Alberto's Land-Rover.

AUTOSHITE SECURITY fleet.

'KNOB VAN' is a great name. I suggest getting some vinyls cut in a large, caps-only late 70's looking font and bosh it on the van panels. Admittedly you'd need fairly thick skin to drive round in a van decorated this way.

C552VSX, still has a light. Farmer is scary though. Sets fire to shit and everything.

I have a shopping list.

Passenger side rear cluster

Passenger side speaker cover

Mirrors and adjusters

GEARKNOB

Do Like.

MOAR PICKTURES PLZ.

Out of curiosity, where abouts in this here Burnley had the other 305 then?

MOAR is MOAR.

I forget where exactly but the place was called 909-cars. Would be interested to know exactly what work was done to get it through the MoT, because the outer sill ends definitely needed doing along with the valance.

I'm glad it's back on the road and someone's using it - but the OMGDIESELISGOD routine is a bit tedious, sorry.

And yeah, I know the van is diesel but it doesn't necessarily have to stay like that.

I have an idea that these have amazingly good suspension by van standards. Have i imagined that??

Ps right with you on the diesel conversion, I'd have kept it as a pez

It rides like my old estate - so very well indeed. The suspension on the vans was more or less the same apart from ststiffer springs to cope with being heavily loaded.

That Mi16 conversion could still happen, which would be amusing.

TBH, the engine in that S5 had a rattling bottom end so I can see why he wants to give it the boot. I don't understand why everything French is only decent with a diesel engine, though. I like the XUD but it weighs more than the Graf Spee and cracks heads for fun. It must be the skinflint appeal - the same type that fits tyres and brakes from scrapyards and boasts about it.

I'm taking it round Brands Hatch next week.

I used to see that van every day in huntingdon, it used to belong to a garage,  alda motors,  stukeley road just before the railway bridge on the right, if you look on streetview   youll see it sitting outside the garage  it had a white roof then

I don't know about XUDs busting heads. The diesel appeals because it's so basic, 1 wire for the stop solenoid switch and that's it.

Cool van, bro.

Aye. I'm also surprised about this head-cracking assertion. Can't say I've ever heard of it.

Well bought Jon!  I had this 30 years ago...

I remember it as supremely comfy, a whole different league to the Bedford HA that preceded it in our family fleet.  One would have to expect the succeeding model, ie yours, to be an improvement again.  Keep the striping!
