Halfords Professional Tool chests , pricey but half price

Just noticed these on the Hot UK Deals Website.

Reserved one of the drawer boxes myself.

If you add code B15MT03 it gives you an extra 10% off. Reviews seem OK, so thought might be useful to someone.

Works out at £13:50 for this one,

and the smaller one is £7.20.

Ta muchly for that - I was planning to spend a few bob there tomorrow, reserving the stuff with the code saved me a bit :-)

Every product on the Halfords website is unavailable. Buttmonkeys.

Managed to reserve the last one at Ayr halfords. We'll see if it's there when I go to pick it up.

Posted

Stoke was sold out but I've reserved one in Newcastle under lyme. Thanks Dave!

None round my way and offer shows expired. Cant believe I missed this. Gutted.

Picked up the (last) two-drawer one from the Tonbridge branch this morning for £13.50. Thanks, Gadge.

I wondered why the website wouldn't go beyond showing my basket. It never said they were out of stock, just wouldn't go to the payment procedure.

Oh well!

Reserved one online from Congleton which was the nearest store to Northwich that showed as having one left. Drove there last night and there was no two drawer toolbox. The kids on the till let me have the 3 drawer version for the same price, DOUBLE BARGAIN!!

Thanks! I got one to go with the one I bought last time they reduced them (and they only had a display one left). Total cost: £33.49.

(I have now added an 'all Vauxhalls are shit' sticker)

Ah but can you do an Ed China and lower an engine and gearbox onto it?

Posted

They seem really good for t'price. I've got nowhere to put one, but there is a 2-drawer at Stoke on Trent if anyone is drawing blanks with stock.

Posted

They said they were out of stock! Liars!!

Posted

Well, upon getting home I realised that there was no 'tray' in my toolbox.... but I really CBA going back to get one, especially as it would probably just prevent me fitting excessively large things in there.  I can also confirm that their 2-tonne trolley jack can actually lift a fair bit more than that

Well, I tried to get one collect at store and it said my nearest one was out, but Stoke had one.

Then I realised that despite the good price, I don't need it so I aborted.

Further deal from Halfords but £200 this time.

Two of their professional tool chests in a bundle offer for £200, instead of £400

Can't justify spending that much myself, but thought it might be of use to someone.

I have these and paid 250 2 years ago. Not quite up to professional garage quality but very good, and infinitely better than anything else you would pay 200 quid for. Both as new still and have had a bit of grief!

Posted

I've managed to get one of the 13 quid ones and it's excellent although after sorting out my tools I seem to have about 7 of the same screwdriver.

Really having some anguish over the Halfords one.

$_57.JPG

Half the price of the Halfords one, but likely made of Hollands pie foil cases.

But do I / the lad really need the Halfrauds one?

Why not try Machine Mart, all items in stock at a good price, and no fake Sales.

Just get a second hand one, and stop being a big fanny.

I paid £25 for a second hand Halfords industrial rollcab.

Do not buy cheap shit you will regret it.

Machine mart professional range is on a par and almost double the price.

£50!!!

Bollocks they were ever 50 quid perhaps for 20 minutes in the Paignton branch.

They are however quite a good little kit and mine lives currently in  the caravan and is ever so useful for those little jobs.

That is a good kit, IIRC I paid £15 when it was on special a few years back,
