100 QUID Lancia HPE ie Project car FOR SALE 100 QUID

I bought this 1983 HPE IE (two litre engine, fuel injection, five speed manual, PAS, lecky windaz) as a spares mule for my HPE VX, but have just been offered a complete VX for 450 with blower intact, which is totes bargs, so I need to free the space, and the IE is a saveable car, in my un expert opinion.  The engine starts and runs, first gear tried, others not, brakes a tad sticky from standing,   Body rusty but not beyond saving.  Interior needs a retrim (the cloth is available) but the clocks all work.    Five good alloys, shit tyres.  V5 present.

100 Quid.  Uber rare car, and could be worth 3-4K restored.  Located in South Oxfordshire close to junctions 5 and 6 M40.

I can't say I'm not seriously tempted as 500 is cheap, but if I bought another Lancia whilst I'm out of the country my B-I-L may lose his patience with me.

GLWTS G. It shouldn't hang around long at that price. Tbh I was looking for an ie when I bought the vx. Ie should be reasonably economical to run, for a 30year old Italian motor

I paid £150 for my (MoT'd and running) HPE.  Almost identical to yours, except it was Y-reg and flat blue.  That was 13 years ago mind.  Still one of the best-handling front-drive cars I've ever owned.

OI M8 U R posting phoatoes of my car on da internet, innit! I hope you know a good lawyer ............ oh.

I am an obvious candidate to buy this as I have just bought its (superficially?) less scabby sister, but I have no room whatsoever now. If someone breaks it, I might be after the tailgate as it has a wiper and appears to be less bubbly than mine.

No buyers? Tsk, this sites not what it used to be etc etc

If you get a van to reverse into it I'll take it away for free.

I have had a ratch about under this, it'll need a tickle of course and plenty of recommissioning but is far from hanging, and would make a class daily (PAS and fuel injection). I will give it a 100% BO11OX COMMENDATION

I've passed details on to Captain Flimble (occasionally of this parish), who might be able to make one good HPE out of this and the one he's currently got.

Oh bugger, that's too cheap.

I may have to get some delivery quotes for that G.

Who was it on here that does car shifting? I'd be looking to get it to LN4 3QT.

I'm not sure DUGONG DELIVERY SERVICE can help in this instance...   ;)

OX49 5SG and Scruff has been here twice, so he knows the way.  NB this is a MAJOR project.

Car complete except for wipers and two lights.   I can put you in touch with a source of retrim fabric for the seats.   Steering column currently in bits but all bits present.  Wheels alone worth well over 100 quid. Italian suppliers good source for wings N stuff.

Breadvan, I am in constant envy of your rare shite acquisitions and disposals. Hope this one finds a good home.

Rarity is what presses my buttons. My 1300 Coupe is well knacked, but vanishingly rare.  That's why I used to have weird stuff like Europas and Murenas and shiz like that.
