Too long, over 6 months.

Nearly two weeks now since I bought the Delica.  I'm getting itchy fingers again now.

My record for eBay purchases is three in one day.  Down to London at the crack of sparrow to pick up a CX, then to Buckinghamshire in the afternoon to buy a Moggie, and then an SD1 picked up locally in the evening.  That was a few years back mind.  Although last year I did pick up a diesel AX from Northampton and a V6 Vectra from Preston in the same day.

Brookjm, loving the 960.  There's a lady of a certain age near me who drives one of those, and she's - shall we say - quite an assertive driver for someone of her years.  Hers is a 3-litre too, and it really does go when she nails it out onto the bypass...

About three weeks ago, when I bought the V70.

Having seen that 960, I now want one of those.

Oh bugger.

Anyone got a 960 they want to swap for a V70?

That sir, is a true Autoshiters car.

I'd have been well pleased with that at one fifty.

Top bombing guv'nor.

Actually, it was a week last Monday when I bought the Saab. It was a week or so before that when I got the Vectra.

A couple of months - the only fleet change this year. That feels a bit odd. At the moment, I really can't be arsed to change anything either, though Richard's Volvo 850 has been testing my resistance a bit I must admit, and I found myself scouring Ebay today for the first time in weeks.

It could be a while before you find one, especially if you're after a diesel automatic.

Completely the wrong spec as 2l petrol, but cheap and may be a low mileage minter (except for the box)

It says it's a manual, so it's probably the clutch. Funnily enough I've had two different cars develop a slipping clutch on trips to Blackpool and both cured themselves after we got home.

Transmission says manual, model details say 850 GLT auto and I would be surprised if a Volvo clutch was knackered after 45,000 miles

So far in 2014:-

cars sold  - three

cars bought - six (but one is for my bro).

Whoops.

Most cars ever owned at one time -  nine  (pretty rubbish by the standards of some shiters)

Current total - six including wifemobile and one non runner.

I lost a storage garage yesterday and so I had a count up and the math’s was not difficult I have one space left but two cars out on loan and 4 with garages having work done.

1985 – 1996 I was in the motor trade and satisfied my wants by typically having 4 brand new cars a year and playing with the part exchanges, then a few were bought but in 2002 – 2003 I thought I was moving to the USA and started selling a few. No buying numbers have every been set, it’s just as it has happened. Then the good years came but NO More buying now until I have done some selling as I have no storage.

January; the 940 Turbo Estate. Before that was October, a 940 Turbo saloon. Before that I think was August, a 760 Turbo saloon...

The Cavalier two months ago and soon to be another with the 220.  I'm also liking the idea of a little auto to buzz around town in, so the search is on (but it'll have to be cheap).

Well I have decided that I will be buying a new car before the year is out, no idea what it will be yet though.

Just bought another one ! That 3 this week now. I have been after a replacement for my Izuzu trooper for some time so now have a rusty TD5 discovery to go and pick up. Anyone want a trooper

I do hope by 'new car' you don't mean an actual brand NEW car. Unless of course it's woefully shit.

Hell no, it will be a new to me old car, at least 20 years old as that is my self imposed cut off point currently. I am leaning towards something French at the moment as I have not sampled a vehicle with Gallic charm yet.

I bought my 1303 in '85

944 in '94

T2 in '96

Trabant in '99 - but sold in '05

Monkey bike around '01

and Scirocco in '10

I'm possibly a bit dull for this forum.

One car? Sorry,  I don't understand this concept.

9 months, which is a very long time for me, and as things stand I won't be thinking of buying one for another 3 months at least. The only car I've driven since Feb this year was a rental :(
