Thanks for the offer Tim, my repair for the bumper bracket involved cutting back the rotted portion and replacing it with some alloy strip which I bolted to what remained of the original mast. Part of me wants to ask you to cut the whole front half of your inner wing off so that one day I can cut cut the quarter out of mine and replace it entirely by welding in a straight bit (of course beneath the surface my repair is a shade inelegant). Naturally the odds of me ever getting round to such a repair would be similar to those of me winning the lottery so perhaps we're as well leaving things as they are...
