Tools you would like

I would love a big compressor - it means I can run air tools, plasma cutter etc and not have to use nibblers or electric grinders.

A portapak would also be useful if I had the dosh - good for brazing etc.

What tools would fellow shitters like?

Welder. There was someone on here selling quite a nice one for £35, about five miles from my house.

Sadly, I was £35 short of the asking price, and whilst I've just gained a lockup it doesn't have any electrickery and I'm buggered if I'm welding in the street.

I had one before, never got round to learning to use it and my ex-wife lobbed it on the tip.

I'd also like a compressor for cheap paint jobs but same applies.

A garage would be a start.

(I have one but it's 20 miles away at my mum and dads and has no power or room etc).

+1. I was dreaming of a nice unit with an inspection pit this morning, as I was doing the brakes on Mrs.Fraud's car in the rain.

Plasma cutter and a two-poster would be just swell.

An electric impact wrench.

I recently bought a second hand 1/2" drive 18v cordless Snap-On and it is now my favourite tool.

The torque it has is very impressive.

Why do you want an electric one?

Do you mean a cordless one, then? I had an actual electric one once, from Argos.

It was tossing *#@!

An inspection pit for sure. It would make the periodical rustproofing and chassis inspection much easier and pleasant.

Yes. A cordless one, like my trusty B&D drill :)

A long handled claw hammer for killing zombies like the one the dude on The Walking Dead uses.

+1 on a plasma cutter. I've never used one but they look a real handy pice of kit for old Skool cut and shuts.

A lift of some description. Maybe a tig welder so I can pretend to fabricate rather than just weld.

The 'Silverline' cheapy trolley jack and axle stands that I lent to the bloke across the road last month.

Fair play to you boys who work on old shite outdoors and with minimal tools. You must really love the cars.

I have a fully equipped workshop and tools etc and I really cba working on my old tat . Probably because I spend all day fixing other people's shite I suppose.
