Take one Brazilian made VW T2 bus, fit it out with an absolute disregard for taste and quality... Then expect to get 55 GRAND for it!

Seen these Danburys for sale in a newspaper ad, they also take out the original air cooled engine and replace it with a more 'acceptable' one and charge £22K for it

They don't take anything out, those are brand new T2s and are fitted with a 1.4 80hp engine from the factory. Which sounds wheezy but has almost twice the power of a standard, tired 1600 single port (50hp, less a few for being 40 years old and never looked after).

£55k is still madness though, that'll get you either a) a few-year-old proper camper or B) twenty transit/commer/ducato/whatever if you're wanting shite.

Im sure theres a comment in the ad thats says they remove the air cooled engine and replace it with something else unless have read it wrong- but think of better things to do with £55k.

edit : your correct - must have been something been looking at

Or not.

I saw something like this near Bicester a year or so back and nearly crashed because I couldn't see for laughing. Driver looked most disgruntled at my negative attention.

LHD 1998 Audi A4 1.8 - £3200 :shock::shock::shock:

Nothing makes me want to reach for the cheque book like a picture of it standing in a field with the bonnet up and a couple of drills at the ready:

Great, I won't have to insure it myself then.

Polish MOT

Polish my knob more like.

Now, if you were going to spend £35,000 on a car I'd imagine you'd want a) some pictures of it and B) for it to be all there. Not like this for example:

When you think about what you can get running, on the road and with an MOT for £400, it seems a little steep. On the other hand, maybe I'm just in a harsh mood after the last two runners I sold made atricious money!

Actually your probably right with no T & T. Prersumeably scrap money only as is ?

I think i'd give that Onion a chance at 400 quid. Can't remember the last time I saw one.

Wouldn't if it wasn't a Ghia EFi jobby, mind.

Looking at the pics it is, red bumper strips signify a Ghia i, and I think they were EFi'd from G plate onwards.

I'd have any Ghia i like a shot though...

Here's a nice Subaru SVX.

$(KGrHqJHJ!4E8ezUR4F0BPKGPsmnNQ~~60_3.JPG

It's almost identical to mine - same colour, same interior, UK market car, etc. It even has an SVX number plate like mine, albeit in illegal black and silver. It's in somewhat better nick than mine, judging by the photos, and it's done far fewer miles, but I'm struggling to see how that alone makes it worth ten times what mine owes me. :?
