An ex colleague had one of those, he thought it was indestructable so drove it in a terrifying manner. Nearly tested its safety credentials (most of the electrics went on fire with alarming regularity and it was mostly rust so not too sure about that one) when he overtook and someone was coming the other way.

Interior was mega depressing, darker than a tin mine. Had the seat belt "TICKATICKATICKATICKATICKA" warning too. I was amazed to see him in it years later, think it will be well in to bean tin territory now though.

He used to wax lyrical about it being an indestructable Volvo, I didn't want to tell him that it had a DAF gearbox and Renault(?) engine.

^ I saw that on eBay the other night and was a bit taken aback by the price.  It's lovely, yes, but as it's not 2001 any more it's a bit much to ask £3k for a standard 1995 Clio in any condition.

Where do I sign ???

I don't think YOU sign. I think 2 doctors sign, and then the men in white coats fit a special jacket to you, and escort you to a place of safety with padded walls.

My numberplate L894 LWC is worth nothing, however if you want to buy it, it is £50,000!!! This is a bloody unique numberplate and I shall not sell it for anything less. I have spoken with many experts, many of which own J-reg Protons. They all agree, that as I am the son of a banker, it is a bargain and can surely only go up in value. Fuck gold prices, invest in unique number plates.

As I said to my wife after I bought her J111YJA for our 12th wedding anniversary, "Well it was only £250, and that's a bargain compared to the £36k someone paid for J1LLY a few years back, and I only bought it to piss off your sister, who said you'd hate it"

Worth £250 to hear her tell her sister how that's what she'd ALWAYS wanted. (Even if it was a lie)

Oh the irony...

"Recreation is a repaneled 1990 Porsche 944 S2 3.0 ltr chassis retaining all the chassis, doors, engine , gearbox 5 speed, suspension, brakes 4 pot Brembo vented discs, cooling & heating system, power steering, wiring loom, Front Screen and washer system. This gives you the feel and reliability of a production car with low running costs."

Enzo is currently turning in his grave and shouting Italian obscenities.

Not a car but un-fucking-believable all the same:

Bang and Olufsen are renowned for cutting edge and stylish design. This record player had, however, been sadly mistreated and was in very poor condition. Underneath the damage and neglect I knew I could reawaken the initial design intention...

...by turning it into a clock. A £450 clock.

CUNT. CUNT. CUNT.

Of course, that being said, b&o stuff is the VAG of turntables. Overrated 'prestige' bollocks owned by morons. So what sort of a cunt must you be to turn one into a clock...? There could only be one thing worse; the record they've used being collectable and also, playable.

Edit:  Just realised this car featured in this very thread about a year ago.  It's even dropped £3K off the price since then.  Words fail me...

It looks nice, but I think every other vehicle in the world would have to be wiped out before it was worth what they're asking.

Why does the above type of Barclay's only work on VW's, any other car and it loses value not adds to it.

Are you sure that particular investment strategy "works" on VW's. If you were offered a standard, one owner, FWD beetle, with full history, no dents, and the original flower on the dash, or that "wank" which is clearly owned by a loooonatic. Which would you choose?
