How much did this sell for last time it was on? I'm betting it wasn't that much.

Wasn't it about £750?

That A3 is worth about £850 as a swapper, - probably 400 sheets for all the crap it's had nailed to it, which WILL serve as a cast iron guarantee that it's been mercilessly thrashed everywhere and never maintained to anybody with more than 0.5 brain cells. WINNER.

This is a good one, 1994 XM with 272k for £3500!, The write up is great as well.

I just realised I can't afford to keep repairing it anymore

So it's shit then.

And there is the REGISTRATION - in my opinion one of the best for showing the pride for My XM Diesel.

The asking price is final from the top - the first one paying this will get the car and the reg with my blessing :)

For separate selling I'm looking for £2000 each.

Where's my cheque book...

I just logged on to post about that Capri!.

 I am gobsmacked! I know it had huge provenance, but the final price is still stunning!

Someone on The Sweeney forum was restoring the Consul GT,NHK 295M.What would that sell for? :o

Oh yeah the Sweeney cosul, wonder what's happening with that?

The Sweeney, though it's very much of its time, stands up very well today. The Professionals doesn't.

I love the Professionals. Quality telly :)

I agree with Pete, I think the Professionals is just as good as the Sweeney, it's just a different era.

Maybe I have seen the wrong episodes but all I saw was preening, cock waving and wooden acting. I know Lewis Collins wasn't really an actor but Martin Shaw claims to be and he was even worse.

I think this was posted to VZi not long ago. They started with a Mk3 Polo, and the rear end of another car cut behind the front doors. When they'd finished tacking it together, they realised that there was far too much gap between the rear wheels of the original car (the middle wheels) and the rear rear wheels, from the half car. It wouldn't go around corners. So they hacked the chopped rear off, span it 180 degrees and put it on backwards. Hence the stupid overhang.Oh, and it's hideous. And you wonder why people buy Chop Shop cars to destroy? ;)

As far as I am aware, the first two series of The Professionals were filmed at the same time as last two series of The Sweeney

Yes, there was an overlap, but you can't deny the Sweeney was more of the 70s and the Profesionals was more of the 80s.

That polo is hideous. Obviously the car you need to give yourself a reputation.

Yeah but that's mostly because The Sweeney ended before the 80's started and The Professionals ended in 1983. Much prefer the former to be honest though, Bodie and Doyle simply haven't stood the ravages of time!

Not seen much of the Sweeney but seen most of the 'Ford' Professionals, and far prefer the latter..I did watch an early episode of Professionals the other week and admittedly the acting/direction/scripting seemed a litle poor.. but I still enjoyed it.

It's maybe early episodes I've been seeing, I think Doyle was driving an RS2000 with a vinyl roof.

The Chop Shop stuff doesn't seem to command much of a price in the auctions!http://coyseurope.com/auctions/lot_list.php?id=75
They'd have to pay me for the shite that they produce in the name of entertainment....

They didnt use the RS2000 in the first series. I dont know when they came in but they drove BL cars at first until Ford offered them cars for free.. - so that definitely wont have been a particularly early episode, hence me mentioning the 'Ford' series'.

How about this one then - offers around £5000 http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/cars-sal ... -rare.html

Yeah, a Metro van. Quite a cool vehicle.. but 5 large??

Posted

the van is in very good condition with not muc rust in sight, the boot has beeen replaced with a black mg boot as the original boot had started to rot (common fault).

Unless thats a genuine typo for £500, I reckon thats the most comically overpriced vehicle I've seen this year. And that includes those 30-grand plus Escorts

The Vauxhall Vivas are becoming very popular as classics and always seem to fetch between £2000 - £3000

O RLY.

I have never seen a 1256 speed machine make three large.

Decent slant-4 powered Coupe maybe, which this isn't:

Nice wheels.

(Bet they are forced-to-fit 100mm pcd jobs)

Has been fitted with uprated suspension and some sexy alloys, which give it that Super Cool Hot Rod Look

ROFL

Cool. But £15000 (reserve not met) cool? Don't think so.

I hate trying to justify the price of old Fords, but again I dont think it's that far off the money if it is as nice as it supposedly is - but it's a shit ebay listing. In the current scene I'd say it's definitely worth £10,000 - and if I wanted a relatively original Mexico then that's the sort of car I'd be looking at.
