Awsome car the 604. That and the Fiat 130. All but gone from the roads now. :-(

In ten years time people might be saying that about the 405 1.6 Style. Think about that.

No, because that twat on eBay will still be listing his, having spent all of his dole money on re-listing fees...

I do have to agree that it is frustrating to have loads of watchers and no bids - an optimistic ratio when selling a car is 1 bidder for every 20 watchers - or when you put a thread up and get about 500 views and no messages. You do have to wonder what all these watchers actually do? However if you've overpriced your unroadworthy car by 100%, people aren't going to bid.

Number of cars I've looked at on ebay: Thousands

Number of cars I've bought off ebay: One

Maybe there are more bored shiteers out there than we thought.

Incidently I do sell adidas items if anyone is interested

£6750 for a plate you have to explain to everybody; who will then probably just shrug politely and say "that's nice".

What you're actually paying is £0 for the plate, and £6750 for the coincidence that it has the initials MC, the number 12 and the word WON on it.

It's annoying but now you just have to assume they're not going to bid. I add stuff all the time to my watch list, even 'b-i-n' and classified adverts. Sometimes I'm just window shopping, other times I'm hoping to get the money before someone else buys it and at other times it's to see how much it makes because I have a similar car or whatever I want to offload.

Unfortunately for our 405 owning mate he's made the fatal mistake of complaining on his advert about the number of watchers, and that's always going to end in tears for him. For everyone on here that have added it to their watchlists you can bet your bottom Alan that users of other forums will have done the same thing.

Fark me, what a chancer. Like the way he's used the same picture 117 times as if that'll make any odds.

Genuine London 2012 Olympic Torch from the Torch Relay

£145,000.00

No doubt it will arrive four times over budget and have no residual value.

Hang on, there are 8000 runners, does every fucker get a torch? So thats 8000 torches? Fuck me, no wonder this country has no money.

Is it sold lit?

I'd reject it if there is no flame, the flame has to burn constantly for the Olympiad otherwise what's the point.

^ its worth what someone pays for it...anyone could have bought it and done the same. live and let live I say, everyone has to make a living. If he got it for nothing should he give it away?

Course not, he’s perfectly entitled to do what he’s doing. I just find it amusing that folk think they can buy a car for X off ebay, then advertise it straight away back to exactly the same audience for 2 or 3 times the price! Why would anyone buy it at the higher price? You’ve got to do something to justify the hike, even if that something is just making a really good ad, doing a bit of Doctor-style detailing or whatever. This guy has no seller feedback, his advert is alright but completely unremarkable, I just wonder what he thinks the buyer is actually getting for the extra £2000.

£3700

If he were to detail the engine bay I would have thought the price wasn't too far out. I had an 89 8v gti with skinny bumpers and it was lovely. I sold it on and it ended up being adorned with cunty lexarse rear lights and slammed to the deck. It didn't last much longer which was a shame. I really liked that car. :( '
