TagoraSX Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 How much is that plate actually worth? If I did end up buying the car that would be for sale!
MrDuke Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 When I worked for Ian Skellys I quite often drove AUD1, VW1, GT1 and S8. I imagine the plates were worth more than the actual sales site. As I'm sure I've wittered on about before, I had the pleasure of seeing VW1, attached to a (then newly-released) Phaeton a good few years ago. Probably wasn't Pete at the wheel, mind. It was driving through Pwllheli at the time, there being several million pounds-worth of yachts moored up in the marina. Unless there's some details about Pete's career that he's not shared with us...
flat4alfa Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 How much is that plate actually worth? If I did end up buying the car that would be for sale! It's currently advertised at £4,435 So we can halve that straight away

Wilko220 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 So, let me get this straight: It's got no seats, bonnet, door trim panels and is missing other "odd small parts here and there" The engine doesn't work. And you haven't even bothered to wash it. How much? £3,495.00 Get to fuck! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-TRANSIT- ... 231bc58ad9
Vin Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I wonder why he calls that VW 'Roland' ... Strange photo emphasis on the exhausts. Can't believe anybody with sense would have spent £5k on it for it to look like that though... If I won the lottery that is the exactly the sort the thing I would buy and then spend shitloads on it reverting it back to factory spec...I'm sure I'm not the only one here who has dreams like this though.
AeroNautiCal Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Seeing what he's done to that VW makes me want to lobby the Crown Prosecution Service to bring charges of committing an affront to public decency against him! He probably spent five grand on Kleenex and wipes, thinking about how 'cool' people will think he is...
cobblers Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 The urge to drop a few snooker balls down them would be almost overwhelming.
Negative Creep Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 That VW looks awesome I can't wait to bid RUG & CUSHION NOT INCLUDED What!? Well in that case you can stick it up your bollocks

You're forgetting the ability to completely dissolve on your drive in front of your eyes.
cobblers Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 So, what would you say would be a reasonable price for a clean E reg Golf with 5 doors, and a set of absolutely lousy wheels on? £2350 But it was used by the company selling the lousy wheels in an advert for them once, so it's obviously famous or something. The car itself looks a B E A U T but it's about 5 times overpriced and needs some stock wheels on ASAP. I'd leave the suspension as it is, but then again I'm a fucking moron.
Guest Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 On the above Golf, I really don't want to start the 'fucking dubbers' debate again (because it can go on and on), but that could be made decent again by losing the slots and 'GDM' style number plates. The 5-0 near me hate them, and there's lots of dubbers near me. New plates and some different alloys would do it no harm. If it's been lowered properly (and I don't know if it has) it would make a fine wee runabout. For £2350 I'd want a GTI though. A very nice GTI. Ne'er mind.
MrDuke Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I like those wheels **dons crash-helmet** With the right size tyres, mind.
willswitchengage Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I miss when dub was associated with Jamaican music and not fisting parties over faux-rusty ratters and gold-toothed undersexed people taking lines off 30" "spinners".
trigger Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 That Golf does nothing for me. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20-25-25-30-R ... 2a1bf97ae0 The seller says this is a Rolls Royce chassis but he can't find any numbers on it, It's still not stopping him from asking £1000 for it though!
