ebay 'BARGAINS'

That Beetle isn't massively expensive, '67s are the pick of the bunch for being decent to drive but still looking classic - 1968 was upright headlights. Does mean the bodywork is one year only in a lot of cases, so if you can put up with people calling you ride words (or even thrive on it), they break for panels quite well.

The spray job looks pitiful though, I'd hazard a guess it looked a lot better before with just 50 years of patina.

Am I missing something here?

I was told by a machanic recently these sell for £700.00 each now as they dont make them anymore

But elsewhere on Ebay you can have a brand new one for £128.  Good luck with selling a second hand one for £500, you could probably just buy a whole Maverick for that much!

You'd get two on that if you're lucky so whip them off, turn 'em round for a quick bag + piss the rest away on cartakeback = profitz

Even better give them a good clean and put them both up for £499 ea. Market forces innit, unlucky, sucker.

Shirley that can't be real?

Its utterly radged but will probably be "reshelled" into an existing non CSi one, instantly making it worth many $$.

Although from £2,500 upwards it was a battle between a 0 feedbacker and one with 6, so there's a chance the sale may not go ahead.

I wonder where it was built? Was a Slough built model or was there an antipodian plant?

I believe all Citroens that came here in those days were Slough products because RHD. Certainly that one would have been and all earlier TA's  I have seen were built there.

Maybe it's a racist engine, that would upset most people

"I was told by a mechanic that they sell for £700 cos they don't make them any more"

They don't make The Black Death any more, doesn't make it valuable. FFS an MOT fail Maverick is about £200 from eBay, and they have TWO headlights which makes you a bloody millionaire.

Edit, not sure why this was the last post when I was replying but now isn't and my comments just echo all the others. Sigh. That's the way my day is going.

That must be a typo, surely? Nobody would expect to sell a vehicle at that price using a picture taken with a potato.

All virtual models and renderings are included in the price though, so that's good.

The quoted dimensions for the spacers and front arms boggle the mind. Over a meter of rear spacers!

I can't even begin to understand what's happening on the front with that camber. Must have been a half arsed attempt to fill those absurd arches which didn't work out so someone said;

"Well drift cars have lots of camber so let's pretend that's what it is!"

Even though driftys get pranged almost constantly and need constant panel bashing if they're to be kept presentable.

That car makes me a little sad. Even the renders it looks terrible. Surely a friend or relative would have seen them and stepped in. All they'd have to do is take the bloke to one side and quietly say;

"Mate it looks like shit. Custom car building isn't for you. Find another hobby or get a girlfriend or something".

Presumably the geezer has no real friends or family that give a shit.

^"Ready for drifting."

Funniest thing I've heard in 2016.

At least there's no fibreglass to smash when it slides into the nearest tyre wall. Oh, wait...

What a total crock of shit that takes 'custom cars' to a new low. Had to LOL at the drift claims, the first time anyone tries to drift that the back wheels are just going to fall off.

How?

E's, speed and methylated spirits.
