Interesting pics as ever Rab.

I don't think I've ever seen old tractors as rusty, picked apart and f**ked as those in the Highlands, and I've lived on and off in West Wales for about 10 years, so that's really saying something...

Those ship photos are smashing. And so are the rest.

Great back story on the Humbrol Hork. Got a bit of a soft spot for this shape 323 as well. Long gone, I assume...

Linky no worky..yeah the Hawk story is cool..its nearly worth buying it for that..and of course you could convert the other to a police car and play cops and robbers...

Needs to be done. I've twiddled the link and it's fixed now. Hadn't quite clicked that the Mazda is parked on the street and not rotting in a yard - DEEvla says it's alive and kicking as well.

Some fantastic images there. Loving the use until utterly and thoroughly bust mentality, the Vectra a few posts up must have hit every single gate post on the island.

I was looking for Reliant pictures on line and found some on flickr. Also saw this, look its the Marina you have a photo of but its in better condition with its trims on.

That white woody Mini Traveller is a 1960/61 modewl (flat roof/ointernal fuel tank) and would probably make a grand on t'bay.

I love the Highlands. I first went in May 1981 to Fort William (used to be a nice place) and stayed in a chalet overlooking the Loch near Ballachulish. Went again in 1996 and 2000, took the wife there in 2011 and back the same block of chalets (Loch Leven Chalets) in 2013 and again in August.

Just discovered this thread, some great photos!

How long you lived in Ardnamurchan then? Is there still the remains of a moggy minor on the beach?

Just the engine and a few suspension bits last time I was there, the body had long gone!
