Yoss Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 This looked very tidy, at least the bits I could see. And another Volvo Now whenever I'm out with Mrs Yoss and I see something interesting* she tends to walk off in embarrassment. And yet she sent me this yesterday so it must be rubbing off on her. She even thought to park next to it, I'm impressed. This should be up the top with the other picture of it but I forgot and if I try inserting it up there it still comes out down here so I'll just leave it here. danthecapriman, uk_senator, Heidel_Kakao and 3 others 6

Yoss Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Been over to Silverlakes scrap yard this morning. Scrapyards aren't what they used to be. Very little of interest. These two were over the back in the bit the public aren't allowed inShame about the 126. The only thing of interest in the public part was this. Estate too. And auto. In gold and beige, they must've been living the dream with that. And whilst on my way there I was following this.Sorry it's a poor picture but what you're looking at is a very large six cylinder head and in front of that a whole engine. Couldn't get close enough but it looked like a proper engine, AEC, Leyland or Gardiner type of thing. Edit: now I think of it those engines aren't quite that big as the Leyland and AEC at least have two separate 3 cylinder heads. They were still big though. Oh and I forgot this.At the front of Silverlakes yard. But this had notices on not to remove parts or damage it so hopefully this one has a brighter future. uk_senator, mercrocker, Dick Cheeseburger and 2 others 5
Yoss Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 These are all within a stones throw of each other. These two are both pogweaseled. They are blocking the drives of two different houses but you'd assume they have the same owners. There's a moggy behind the red one and a Previa stuck behind the blue one. Also the blue one is a K reg making it rather a late one as you could get Mondeos by then. But just round the corner...Coincedence? You wouldn't have thought so would you. This one looks much smarter and it's a Ghia. And three doors up from the blue one these sorry looking Alfas. uk_senator, mercrocker, Dick Cheeseburger and 4 others 7

I`ll never get bored of the Londons shitefest.. Well, until its all banned & scrapped by the government anyway.. RobT and brandersnatch 2

Zelandeth Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Bit of an old photo because I've just realised that I forgot to snap one last weekend when I made my annual pilgrimage up to Livingston. So this is from a couple of years ago... The red one is no longer with us - when last year's MOT came around it was basically going to require a new vehicle to be welded onto the few remaining bits of original vehicle that hadn't dissolved. Blue one is still with us though, and along with a newer (V plate I think) white one, transport the vast majority of the convention I was attending all the way up there from London. How on earth they fit so much stuff into two vans I have no idea. ...I also have no idea what they've done to that blue one...it's certainly a heck of a lot faster than any LDV I've ever been near! The interior is...interesting as well. A significant portion of the wiring and instrumentation is now outside the dashboard, and I'm pretty sure that the cable-ties and duct tape that are visible are essential to the correct operation of the vehicle. There's also apparently a horn originally from an American locomotive attached to it wired to a button somewhere in the cab...I've never witnessed this, but apparently others have and can report that it is capable of causing spontaneous panic in every living thing within a radius of approximately 500 yards. Since this photo's been taken I believe that an additional amber beacon has been added above the windscreen as well...can't remember for certain...Sadly will have to wait until next November to get an updated photo most likely... mercrocker and catsinthewelder 2
