While I was debating whether or not to correct him on his error the owner began to tell him how much he'd spent in the last few months... It looked good for it though. Magnificent Rustbucket 1

HillmanImp Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 Right, I have not updated this for ages as its a bugger on my phone but I have just transferred all my photos to my tablet by the miracle of bluetooth so will give it a crack. This bad boy was parked outside the hospital whilst Imp Jr. was being born. Morrisons 3 series A lowly 2l Aldi coop round the corner from my house. About a month later I noticed these were across the road With a cavalier coupe hidden in the bushes. Imp Jr has just woken up so will continue shortly. CGSB and danthecapriman 2
HillmanImp Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 He seems content smashing stuff up on the floor so will carry on. Distant CRX. Saw this around loads and it seemed to be getting slightly barried but have not seen it for ages. Lovely Aldi 100. Unfinished Jensen project. Whose going to spot the 3rd one? High class car on a low class street. Mini project I saw 4 shitters outside Sainsburys in Otley in one visit. Joey spud, vulgalour, danthecapriman and 2 others 5
HillmanImp Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 There is ofter old Triumphs or MGs outside Moss Europe down the road. I almost got busted taking this one. The owner walked out seconds after. Its about 10 metres downthe road from the Blue Aldi coupe. LSI Love Sex Intelligence, comin' through in the things you do to me I honestly never see Beetles anymore. Where have they all gone? Celica convertible. I cant see what this is in the thumbnail but assume I took the photo for a reason. A Range Rover Range Rover. You just know that tgus person is a classy individual. Not sure about the colour combo of this but its subjective i guess. danthecapriman and CGSB 2
HillmanImp Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 I love these in this colour Really early 205. From memory I think it had a miserable engine option too. More German car park chod My least favourite colour Scirocco. This was everywhere for a while being driven by some bloke with a beard and his gith girlfriend and was getting slightly barried. Again not seen it in a bit. Series 1 (I think) in need of work. danthecapriman, Jon, Joey spud and 2 others 5
HillmanImp Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 Really tidy mk2 in the car park of Otley vintage Late Lolvo 940. Middle aged, middle class, holiday transport. Fuck yeah. At Leeds airshow. At the same airshow. Another Lolvo 944 lawn ornament since November 2014. Mot history just says it expired, it never looks like it was retested. Wonder what the story is? I stopped to take a photo of this.... And spotted this 8 in front of it: vulgalour, danthecapriman, CGSB and 1 other 4
HillmanImp Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 Whats going on with the rear lights on this. How horrible. Was this standard? Tidy Clio in Bradford. Magnificent Rustbucket Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Just spotted this in Ches Vegas, the shorter of the two old boys in the background was proclaiming very loudly that it would last another fifty years. While I was debating whether or not to correct him on his error the owner began to tell him how much he'd spent in the last few months... It looked good for it though. This is an 'Insignia' version of the XJS, with special paint (in this case lavender - but they would paint the car any colour you wanted), a full, semi-aniline leather interior - every appropriate surface was covered in leather, with no vinyl used whatsoever, Wilton carpets and specially dyed wood to the colour of the owner's choice. They're rare cars - only 200-odd made (the Insignia package was much more commonly ordered on the XJ40) - and very sought after now. I am fairly sure I saw the same car parked at Booths supermarket in Knutsford a year or two back.
HillmanImp Posted February 21, 2016 Author Posted February 21, 2016 Now, where did I get up to yesterday? This car lives across the road from me. Its absolutely lovely. Not managed to chat to the owner yet. More modern 3 series. This was an 318is. Was not aware of this model in this shape. Apparently its not as good as the E30. These next ones were all in Sainsburys car park. when I saw the 2nd Lolvo, I thought it must've been the same one that I had seen the day before but the lack of lacquer peel sugfested it wasn't. Saw this at the top of the M62 when I was heading to Wales to go mountain biking. And I saw this in Wales. There was a rally on there and saw a few Escorts knocking about but this was the only photo I got.
HillmanImp Posted February 21, 2016 Author Posted February 21, 2016 These two are next to each other in the middle of Baildon. The Mini hasn't moved in a while. Homebase car park. This was a right spot. The driver looked right pissed off sat there as the traffic was gridlocked just before christmas so I whimped out of getting any other photos. These were all in Hebden Bridge but up the hill so are not going to have been swept away in the floods. vulgalour and CGSB 2
HillmanImp Posted February 21, 2016 Author Posted February 21, 2016 This was also in Hebden Bridge I think. It was next to the Co-op so may well have git caught up in it if it wasn't moved. Not sure where this was. This was an odd find. I was in Otley and saw what I thought was a Porsche 914 on some ramps in a garage in the distance, so I walk down the road to investigate and it turns out it was my imagination playing tricks on me as it was an old 4x4 with a bumper with the lights on it, not a Porsche. However in the yard next to the garage was a Porsche 914. I AM SEPTIC PEG. This was ourside Screwfix. Not sure if I have seen it before. Living around Bradford, you may have noticed there seems to be a lot of old Mercs smoking about. Here is another. This was driving through the middle of Bradford. CGSB 1
