louiepj Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 My nearest Mot place has another fiat. danthecapriman, Datsuncog, Quintus and 11 others 14
SteersWithThrottle Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 There's a rather pleasant looking 1975-ish Saab 96 V4 parked in the compound behind the place I'm currently working. I'll try to pap it, the owner wasn't around at the same time as me today so I couldn't ask him (we work for the same organisation so it's just common courtesy to ask first). It has a silly* exhaust, but it still looks ok to me, and apparently he has a couple more too.
Quintus Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Spotted this Swedish honey on a backstreet in a nearby town. Jack D, Zelandeth, CreepingJesus and 2 others 5

Yoss Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Local Lidl. Looked very tidy. Quintus, Shite Ron, noseypoke and 3 others 6
doubleyeller Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 This new Trabbi arrived after just 18 years' wait! Dyslexic Viking, Zelandeth, CreepingJesus and 1 other 4
Schaefft Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Some Nashville PullaPart spots Jack D, DVee8, CreepingJesus and 5 others 8
Schaefft Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 And some black Friday spots. '92 Caprice on Impala SS wheels (I'm quite surprised this is the first one I've seen, only briefly saw a Roadmaster pulled over by the cops before), Foxbody notchback Mustang and a 380 SEC. bigstraight6, Rab, Datsuncog and 5 others 8
bigstraight6 Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 I spotted this sad old heap at a local supermarket today, gaffer taped body repairs and homemade roof rack with a strong hint of burnt engine oil as I followed it to this parking spot. Driven by an old giffer. 500tops, CreepingJesus, LightBulbFun and 10 others 13

(aka Mitsubishi GTO/3000GT) My boss had a couple (serially) at an electrical engineering company I worked at in the mid 90s. He used to hide it when the bank manager came to visit... Interesting* fact: You can fit three 6-foot blokes in the back seat, providing they can contort themselves sufficiently. CreepingJesus 1

Lol, I've been in a 3000GT before, I'm not sure how you'd fit 3 adults on the backseat but anything is possible. This one was just a basemodel as far as I could tell, I really had to rush through the place.
MorrisItalSLX Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 Main Street spot, delightfully used P76. (Yes, our roads really are that bad.) Yoss, Datsuncog, 500tops and 12 others 15
Schaefft Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 Mr. Regular spotted. DVee8, Austat, Dyslexic Viking and 5 others 8

Well, to fill in some of the details, I was sat in the left hand side, but I was bent almost double with my legs and my head diagonally pointing to the middle of the car...
Rab Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 Ft William and other areas abound..and Mum's Fabia that was regretably traded in against an Automatic... CreepingJesus 1
Zelandeth Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Saw this 2CV in Buckingham today. Not seen this one about before. Also earlier in the day was briefly behind an F plate red Renault 11 while in the way to the Jag's MOT. Looked really tidy... I'd probably have seen if I could speak to the driver but obviously couldn't give chase as I was on the way to a test! 500tops, LightBulbFun and Austat 3
Schaefft Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 1990ish Chevy Lumina and late 80s Skylark at the Jack Daniels destillery. Justwatching, Dyslexic Viking, danthecapriman and 1 other 4
Schaefft Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Grand Wagoneer, Corvair and this 70s Mopar I have not bothered identifying yet! Â SteersWithThrottle, Austat, CreepingJesus and 2 others 5
Schaefft Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Avalons are surprisingly popular here, I've seen them of all generations despite having always been an underdog in the fullsize segment and completely overshadowed by the Camry. Almost got the feeling Toyota sold 50% of their production just in Tennessee. CreepingJesus, Jack D, danthecapriman and 2 others 5
Schaefft Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Speaking of Camrys. GrandAm was parked isolated in a Walmart carpark, the dude sleeping inside looked like he has quite the night behind him. D.E, Six-cylinder and Dyslexic Viking 3

SteersWithThrottle Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 Here's that Saab 96 V4 I promised to pap. Didn't have time to chat with the owner; we were both working (for the council, so very very busy) and I have a horrid cold. Â Pretty sure that's not its original colour, seems to be some powder blue showing through where some of the silver has flaked off. Also has a mildly riced exhaust... bet it sounds well! CreepingJesus, Datsuncog, danthecapriman and 6 others 9
MisterH Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Today I saw an immaculate Y-Reg Sierra in a deep grey colour in Eastleigh. I was in the Volvo so flipped the lights for him, but the elderly gent behind the wheel probably didn't see it. It glistened like a brand new one, couldn't tell the spec, but had the early slat grille and early Ghia wheeltrims... Dyslexic Viking 1
