This photo could have been taken circa 1993 when him and her got new cars together (and her was a little bit careless and scraped the front bumper a bit, and got a bad one from the factory as it's a bit rusty):

Any more photos that could have been taken 20 years ago, but are, in fact of a shiter's driveway?

Uhm..dont know if this counts...cos its a bit of a squeeze trying to get two cars in our front garden,,but i always make a habit of parking beside another old Merc when I see one..

Freshly washed, out in the leafy suburbs and ready for another day at the office or a holiday weekend in Bognor Regis.

While this isn't my driveway, I do like how period perfect this is for a mid-80s snapshot. It was one of those days where it felt just like it did when I was a kid but instead of being a passenger in a recalcitrant car, I was driving it.

...except they were all taken by me in the last three years! :)

The first one is the closest thing to my driveway, being the street outside my current abode.

I suppose calling it "timeless" works about as well as "unhinged."

That looks like the set of some weird drug-induced kids TV programme "Captain Chod and the Fibreglass Invaders from Tamworth"

I've been getting surprisingly few (which is to say zero) trick-or-treaters on Hallowe'en these last few years.

Bit of a crap attempt, the photo wasnt clever to start with tbh, I had to 'lighten' the original pic, then "edit" out a newish car parked to the left of my car that had its lights shining against the fence.

I have got afew other photos that could have been taken anytime, only though, because there is nothing else of interest around the car,

None from my driveway but I've got quite a few that look period I dont think I've posted these on here before...

This shot could easily be 1975 all over again,

I recon this one looks a bit later, Paintwork doesnt look as fresh in colour and the post industrial landscape has a grimmer feel maybe 1981?

Actually both photos were taken a couple of years ago, I've got a bit of a thing for taking pictures of the cars in period locations so I've got loads of pictures like this.

When I bought my current car. The 205 owner is the widow of the Subaru's owner, and the younger chap/Mini owner is their gardener who put it on ebay. The bicycle is mine :)

Oh, sorry. I had a nightmare.

The fleet as was in October (minus Maverick). Still not sure selling the Bluebird was a good idea.

How do I capture a pic from google streetview without giving away too much detail? I got papped by the streetview car laying under a car on the driveway

Posted

Go to the street view picture you want, press the PrtScn/SysRq key to the upper right of your keyboard, Open the "Paint" program on your computer, press paste, crop it about a bit and save the image then host it.

The Granada wasn't mine, the Rover was. I don't who's the Granada was but I did briefly speak to the owner. I just managed to park my Rover next to the Granada and tried to take a pic.

2007 was the year i pretty much stopped using film and went digital...so this is from one of those last films..HC Viva No1 and Eleanor's Anglia [last seen tarped and sweating] outside the old Wanganui Chronicle building [one of NZs oldest newspapers] which was owned by my landlord

Burst heater matrix?

Nope. Matrix was fine. Blower was kaput but the more I dug behind the dashboard, the more I discovered randomly cut-off wires and household connectors. Put it back together and flogged it instead! Shame as it was awesome in many ways. Ignoring the shite interior build quality, hopeless central locking, non-working electric rear windows, the bonnet that would occasionally pop open of its own accord, the engine that really needed a Massey Ferguson badge, the occasionally broken clutch hydraulics...
