1982 Polski Fiat 125p Estate

Bought this off ebay last week and had it delivered yesterday.

Good solid car but could do with the front wings replaced eventually.

It was last taxed in 1994 and has done 52000 miles.

It will not take too much work to put back on the road, The worst of it is no clutch padal.

Heres a few pics for those that wanted to see more of it

Been looking forward to that, thanks!

Looks to be in bloody good nick too, nice work!

Actually interesting to see it next to a Lada estate, what with both being based on old fiats. The front doors at least look remarkably similar.

Yer its been good comparing the two sat by side, There doors do look pretty much the same, The exterior door handles are defo the same.

The garage filled up pretty quick last night with local petrol heads wanting to check it out

I will do some better pics when I get the chance

Phwoar, lovely eastern block tat :D

The wings look ok in the pics, I'm guessing they're a bit crumbly under the paint.

Nothing that would bother the MOT man but to be right they want replacing or even just abit of repair work.

The rest is in great shape, My other half hates the car, Thats all part of the fun

Looks nice. The clutch will be dry slave seals. May come back with bleeding.

Course- I could be wrong!

That looks superb.

Top purchase

Just dont let these guys near it

Love it, does your other half like the lada?

Now this is what Autoshite is about, proper cars! The FSO looks really tidy, good luck recommissioning it again!

That looks fantastic, much better than in the Ebay pics!

I prefer it to the Lada.

Both those estates are GR9, although I also prefer the looks of the FSO on balance.

And that van is probably worth more than my house.

Glad you guys a liking my pair of Eastern Bloc tanks :)

My other half hates them, It took years to get her to have an appreciation for old VWs, With these I have no chance

but our kids think there well cool.

Still not 100% sure how they will turn out but they wont be overly pimped like the youtube vid

Been buying some sets of rims recently in 4x98 pcd

These Dunlops from the early 70s must be pretty rare now v v v v

Think both would look good slightly lowered, Left with steelies and white walls 8)

Got a mate sorting me out with a Fiat twin cam for the FSO..

I like both estates, it would be like choosing between my kids

Ha ha not quite as much as a house but I did buy a full length industrial BeKoWa roofrack and ladder from the 50s to fit the van.

The rack cost me more than both estates put together

Vintage VW scene just gone mental, This old panel is the oldest known VW Splitscreen original to the UK, Been on our shores since Feb. 54

Hmmm. Not so keen on the mods. They're meant to be crap! The idea of trying to improve one is like slapping an Elle Macpherson mask on your best mate and pretending he's a super model. It's just a bloke. In a mask. I'd just wallow in the shiteness of it all myself.

Each to their own though. You stumped up the readies, I didn't so your rules.

Personally I reckon it'd look ace on either the Dunlops or Cromodoras but the slots don't really suit it. Also agreed about a (very slight) drop, though that likely wont be a popular opinion in these parts.

Whatever you do, you already own two of the coolest vehicles on the planet. And also a Volkswagen, which I'm sure is very nice.

I have a big fat mate Ljay he looks the business in a Elle Macpherson mask and blond wig

I like my shit with sparkly bits sprinkled on, Still shit I know but makes me happy

What's the big grey primered GRP "thing" next to the Lada? Is it a campervan body for a pick up or a cabin for a boat?

That FSO/Polski Fiat is LLLUUURRRVVVEEERRRLLLYYY!!! I was watching it on E-Bay but went for the Yugo instead! The FSO is a great car and I salute you, sir, for saving it! If it helps I can send you a workshop book for it. PM me if I can help with anything. I owned one and know a few ex-dealers who STILL have some parts for them!

Nice Polski Fiat. Yellow really suits it. 8)

Polski is lush.

Is your garage open to the public? If not, how about Wednesday and Sunday afternoons 2-4pm. £1 entry with concessions for pensioners and students. You could hire out those earset things that 'talk' you through the exhibits and serve really crap afternoon teas in the caravan.
