I know I mentioned the MG6 earlier in the thread however I saw one of these bad boys this morning and totally forgot these existed. Mark my words, these will be AS gold dust within the coming years.

I heard about a scam on one of the Morris Minor Facebook groups where someone was selling a load of parts that didn't really exist, the group members realised it was a scam so requested an ECU, DPF  DMF and various other things and got quotes for all of them 🤣

IIRC, this one was stolen not long after my photo. So it's dead.

Some have quite a surprising survival rate such as the Mazda 121 and the Kia Pride. Can't believe there's only 16 Nexia's left though. 

So to re-open the topic, what are the new "endangered cars" of 2024? 

 

 

Huge fan of endangered and extinct cars as I believe we need to save as many as we can. Afew points of thought 

1. Im sure B121 ETF still exists (the last remaining Mitsubishi Tredia)

2. As some others have said I'm sure there are a few Charmants left for example C765 VLP

3. As for the Sao Penza in 2023/4 K716 SKL/G34 XLR still exists and here it is

 

Fingers crossed more of these rare cars come out of the woodwork :D

The last time I passed the owner of the SAO’s property it wasn’t there. He was very ill a year or so back and had to shift some of his cars away from the road in a hurry. Hopefully his collection is in storage declared SORN.

Yes. I had a brochure for them, picked up at an underwhelming visit to  a dealer which I visited, mainly because I'd never heard of SAO.  I gave it  to Nigel in June 2019 before he became unwell. (ref. post dated 15th June 2019 in the SAO Penza thread started by Nigel)

The Penza, & 323 are both dry, safe, warm.  As are the vast majority of his cars.  
There are a few still ‘out’ for those occasional days.

A lot of Charmants in Ireland ended up as donors for E70 and E80 RWD Corollas.
