M'coli Posted April 20, 2014 Author Posted April 20, 2014 Tasty looking Viva/Magnum estate back in February. Tidy straight-6 Sherpa fhc in a Wetherby carpark. Did a bit of a double-take when I saw this, it only got camera time because it's the C! Corsa parked next to a Merc A-class...what does the A stand for? Could it be "Astra"? Finally, this juxtaposition of "doesn't rust/rusts like a bastard"! Uncle Jimmy, Cavcraft, theorganist and 5 others 8
M'coli Posted April 20, 2014 Author Posted April 20, 2014 Went out this afternoon for my first trip in Mrs. M'coli's new Kia Picanto - it's well nice, and I even got to drive it. One of these days I'll get to drive it on my own, and then I'll be able to find where the 1-litre 3-pot's 69-or-so cuddies are to be found - probably somewhere above 5500rpm. Nevertheless, while a passenger I was able to wield a camera: Not far along, this regular Victor: Made it to Otley, and bypassing the town centre lights my shitey senses started tingling. In a car park, I spotted this Saab 9000 Carlsson, quite nice too. You might be able to spot the green machine - the Picanto - in the background. Off to the left of the picture, however, was the car setting off the shite radar. I'll just leave these here... Taxed until September. saucedoctor, Junkman, theorganist and 12 others 15
mercrocker Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Blimey! Not seen a more-door Shoveit since the turn of the century! Junkman 1
Cavcraft Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 That Shoveshit is just fab, brilliant spotting, nice one. Uncle Jimmy and dugong 2
Squire_Dawson Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 The perfect homage to shite. It's truly bloody awful! Junkman 1
Split_Pin Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Xhevette takes things right to the top of shitehood. Also, Cannich must be the grimmest and most remote place I've ever been to. My ex's parents lived up near the Mullardoch dam and I had to pass through there to reach the place.
M'coli Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 More spottage from the last few months. First up, therse were spotted on the way back from Windsor in July. Then there was this lovely Corvair in Wetherby. Then, in August, we were staying near Bala in Wales prior to heading down to DW's neck of the woods. Angry Dicky's Zommerzhet outside the Hafod: Any idea what this is? MG at Kettlewell, Bank Holiday Sunday. A tidy Acclaim on the M62, and a Neue Klasse BMW in Nantwich at the start of October. Near Buxton on Thursday, the Rally of the Tests competitors were having a shakedown. We'd not have seen them if it hadn'd been for this cockwomble... Sudsprint, mouseflakes, Skizzer and 3 others 6
mercrocker Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Blue roadster is a rare Riley RMC (2 1/2 LITRE) mainly built for US market with 3 abreast seating. Nice spots! M'coli 1
Asimo Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Ye gods, but I want that red Corvair! Dick Cheeseburger 1
M'coli Posted April 23, 2015 Author Posted April 23, 2015 I had been thinking of photographing the Rover, but as I came out of the supermarket the Sierra rolled up and parked next to it. Chatted with the owner, he's a sound guy too. It's got a Zetec under the bonnet... DVee8, Jim Bell, Sigmund Fraud and 3 others 6
M'coli Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 Birmingham spot, somewhere in Wellington Street - this needs to be saved, despite the buggered windscreen, it looked ok from the roadside. M'coli Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 Wetherby Dickensian Christmas Market yesterday, and it brought out a load of dickends indeed. Ripped off for a small and bland hog-roast-in-a-roll to the tune of a fiver, but did enjoy seeing this lovely Jag on steels. Today I popped out to get my sister's Christmas pressie (4 bottles of Taddy Porter) and this delightful Landcrab was parked not 200 yards from the house. Edit: there used to be a beige one that went around town, but this is one I've not seen previously. For added shiteyness, I took this picture in the Avenger. Junkman, Eddie Honda, Richard and 7 others 10
Angrydicky Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Brilliant spots - love the Landcrabs and Chevette!
M'coli Posted May 17, 2016 Author Posted May 17, 2016 I spotted this in twilight a couple of weeks ago and wewent back to photograph it this evening. Other than the modern headlights, this is how I remember them looking when I was a teenager! Skizzer, mouseflakes, Sudsprint and 4 others 7
Split_Pin Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I remember the last ones of these had the Austin Morris ticks badges on the front rather than the Leyland plug hole. Looks like this one would have been so fitted 😎 Uncle Jimmy 1
M'coli Posted August 18, 2016 Author Posted August 18, 2016 Popped out at lunchtime to the local pharmacy, was a bit of a win seeing this Spacevan Commer PB camper! I know of another couple in Bristol but this is the only one I've seen so far that's a proper van rather than having a coachbuilt body. holbeck, Skizzer, Uncle Jimmy and 5 others 8

M'coli Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 Righto, a bit of a quiz on this one - any ideas what this nigh-on 60-year-old scooter is? The owner's Vespa GT wouldn't start this morning so he had to commute on this! strangeangel, willswitchengage, Sigmund Fraud and 1 other 4

M'coli Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 Isn't serendipity just the best, though? I've been working/had digs in Bristol for just shy of a year: tonight I decided to ride up to the Clifton Suspension Bridge for a gander at it, and see the most fabulous scooter on the way home on the only day in the past year I was likely to see it! Edit: PS, first registered in 1959, but mot check website disnae list Maico... Eddie Honda 1
M'coli Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 Check out this AX in Tesco Eastville's car park tonight! Widden roofrack! strangeangel, Lacquer Peel, Junkman and 3 others 6
mk2_craig Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Blimey M'Coli nice to see this thread still on the go after nine years! I love that red Horizon on page 1, used to pass it a lot while living in Leeds circa 2005, wonder if its still there. M'coli and Jim Bell 2
M'coli Posted March 18, 2017 Author Posted March 18, 2017 More Bristol chod, and this will be first post of the last lots: I am starting an new job next week and no longer reside there during the week. Some of these were taken in the summer of last year after my landlord/lady were going to bin a tiny Sony camera that fitted nicely in my pocket and I could access it easily whilst on the bike, and some are repeat offenders from more recently. PhilA Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Am amused, used to pass by that Consul Crapi daily.. it used to be the other way around but these days it looks like it's closer to being roadworthy. Phil M'coli 1
Sigmund Fraud Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 "Barkas" is actually a soviet UAZ. The kind of thing Mr.Glover would keep in his hangar, or Mr.Castro would use for a fishing trip in Mongolia. Brilliant spottage, by the way ! M'coli and Junkman 2
