I can remember having one of those in a box of tat I kept at my Grandmas.

This thread is a bastion of Honesty @Datsuncog these “Tat market gems” really are disgusting 😂

The plan is to bag the dirt and cryogenically freeze it, so when technology improves I can bring the previous owner back to life and ask him what he was playing at 😂

I'm sure you're bored of my grubby Dinkys now, so here's a few bits I just found in the charity shop.

Swamp Rat must have been appropriate during the Vietnam era, not so much now

Post Lady has been again...

A 1970s remote control truck, modelled on the Kenworth W900 series, to get going again.  The 'Martini' stickers are saveable as I'm a sucker for old 70s 'liveries'.

Also a 'Ford Coupe 1932' from the Majorette 1:32 Hot Rods range.  More likely a '33 or '34 I think with that grille and wheelbase, though.  Typically missing its hood, but it means the set is complete and I can stop being bothered about them.  Will organise a car meet later.

IMG_0543.thumb.JPG.81e51f40a89bca88a0bfe96f1e7860b5.JPG

Brand is that one that is an Aladdin lamp, name escapes me.

IMG_0545.JPG.10e661968b60a2592a4f65ad402384dc.JPG

At the very least for the fiver there is a gearbox and motor in there I can breathe life into while I sing East Bound and Down.

Also some little ones to make up the box weight, ones that have alluded until now:  MB Fisker Karma ; HW Cadillac Emiraj ; MB Dodge D200 in that MB livery only sold in multipacks ; HW AMC Javelin AMX in that take on the '71 Trans Am winner Penske car colour scheme

Hey, glad they all showed up safely, and just as horrendously manky as they were when they departed this fair isle... enjoy your scrubathon, they absolutely need it!

It's tat central here today. First three sets were from the same seller - open blisters but mint cars. The Adventure Wheels (Maisto) was a set I bought at Asda years ago when they were current, but I left with the ex-wife along with all the other 57 Chevy stuff I bought...

This one is slightly annoying as I've had several and sold them, then decided I wanted to do a red one after we discussed then recently

Crumbs, I remember having both those sets, c.1986 - from 'The 50p Shop' in Clandeboye Shopping Centre, just round the corner from us.

I distinctly remember the Stratos and the Esprit coming in the same pack, and may still even have them in my big box of loose Matchbox-scale stuff.

I think my Charger may have been a different colour though (sadly long lost, so I can't check) - but I much preferred its dished wheels to those on my ERTL General Lee.

Nicely found!

Here, have a bonus pic of Clandeboye Shopping Centre, with its car park chock-full o' chod.

I know I must have had these around 1986, cos the entire shopping complex burned to the ground in 1987, when a fella welding some doors in the delivery bay got his sparkly stick a bit too close to the toilet rolls... Made a helluva racket; I'll never forget the popcorn-like sound of thousands of food cans bursting in the heat...

Both Welly as far as I can tell - no doubt sold to be repacked to various brands, a bit like cheap electronics on Wish today

20210526_150055656_iOS.thumb.jpg.7143ecb7bd02f7c779150eb30e892702.jpg

I had one of those GT40 Computer cars. Somehow it just did not get much attention from me.

Hard to make it go in a  path I wanted to in the space I had. Did not work very well on the carpet mat I had in the bedroom. (No fitted carpets in those days.)

Some buyage today!

First off, mail call from our very own @eddyramrod. These were mainly the new Matchbox editions I was after, sadly our local Tesco is a steaming vat of weasel piss when it comes to diecast, so thanks to Eddy for bagging them for me.

IMG_20210527_144748.thumb.jpg.68e1d2efdded4b5182dc4a7a5822aef2.jpg

But, at last, our local Morrison's have got some new case stuff in,

IMG_20210527_144838.thumb.jpg.f5cec703697a4881a55d223cc5ab96d9.jpg

I do like the recent Civic Koop casting, looks a bit more subdued in black. The side view reminds me very much of a Rover Tomcat.

Another recolour for Ken & Mary's Skyline. And so the hunt now begins for the matching yellow R35 to make the Then & Now pair up...

IMG_20210527_152709.thumb.jpg.0eebe949c05e135e0b6f54234c0d69c9.jpg

And my find of the day,

IMG_20210527_152752.thumb.jpg.c265744b9ee12a3d3ba32b9909678e0c.jpg

One of the Chrysler Horizon's more glam cousins!

IMG_20210527_152803.thumb.jpg.7e220af05a317f73cc06c1a758a0a97b.jpg

Nicely rendered trike in the back. Takes me back to my motorbike-toting Holden 'ute' I had as a little 'un.

IMG_20210527_152824.thumb.jpg.3216195458d1d3320a445e0b06ba0c16.jpg

A tad frustrating though as I know the yellow Volvo, Audi RS2 and Mercedes W124 are also in the same case, will have to keep a close eye on the clipstrips!

Crumbs, what else is here?

Some interesting stuff, and cheap. I'll just throw up some pics quickly, and come back and edit text and whatnot later.

Lots of Corgi's 'Nine Double Nine' collection from the early 2000s - £10 each on these, mint and boxed - many look unopened.
