Who brought a 1:43 Norev Peugeot 104 a while back missing a wheel centre? Thought it was Junkman but might be wrong. Knew I had this one somewhere and just found it so though its worth a mention.

Welcome to have this for spares ( broken chassis and one wheel centre missing ) for £4 postage if you or anybody else want it.

Burnside to the rescue.

I'm trying to decide whether to invest some time and effort turning this into a hearse, or leave as an ambulance, or maybe even turn it into a station wagon.  The roof lights aren't in great condition and after stripping the paint off, the body needs work too, so it's a good candidate for modding.  Suggestions?

Hearse would be good,or how about a psychedelic hippy type paint job.

PM'd you Mr Burnside :)

I actually love the flower car idea, with matching limos and hearse... going to have to buy more of these now and make it a reality.

Reckon building an Ecto or a hippy one would be incredibly difficult at this scale, also Ecto replica would need to be an early car since that was a '59.

Take your time, Angyl.  While you're taking it, take a trip over to the Isle of Man, to the Motor Museum at Jurby.  It contains a shitload of Cadillac flower cars!  Must be 8 or so, I lost count.  Seriously, totally recommended.  It's worth the trip on its own.

20+ years ago I started building the AMC Cadillac Ecto kit as a hearse. I got a long way with it, smoothing out the bodywork and painting it black, applying BMF to all that chrome, then I went and snapped the window moulding across the extravagantly curved windscreen.....

One day it might get completed as a banger, probably as a loose version of something 520 Derek Caton "The Undertaker" might have raced back in the '90s.

I have one or two other incomplete/damaged kits that might end up going that way too. If I ever get beyond the daydreaming stage and actually get on with it that is.

Hippie is not difficult in this scale.

That's a brilliant idea!  I wish I'd thought of it.  Coincidentally, I've just finished a repaint on one of those Thames minibus thingies.

I've got a couple of those Cadillacs, one regular wheels and one Superfast, in similar condition to that. I've got as far as paint stripping the regular wheels one and buying a repro glazing unit and did think about making one into a hearse. Doesn't seem too difficult - remove the C pillars and file off the back door lines, but it'd be nice to have a roof rack for the flowers and I'm not sure how that could be done.

JM - love that hippie bus and it's a great use of fingernail transfers that never even crossed my mind.

Loving that this thread is giving inspiration to others, and it is brilliant seeing everyone's minshite. Just ordered a couple of Vanguards from Hatton's, surprisingly some of the recent stuff they have large stocks of, I ordered the discounted Escort Harrier in silver, and a Fiesta Festival that will be code 3 converted.

I picked a few Victors up a while back with missing tailgates. So being the nerd I am I made a template. Took the template to work and drew it out in CAD then plotted it out on Polycarb.

There are two different tailgates one with a flat top and one with a tab. I couldn't get the tailgate to open because the thin plastic hinges snapped off so I glued it in.

Excuse my sausage fingers and crud pictures.

It's 95% finished, so I'll photograph it now as I always lose momentum at this stage.
