New tool 500 not unnice either.

Guys, I was wondering why someone would tool up yet another 500 what with the Tamiya and Gunze already existing.

So I checked again and I just now noticed, that the Italeri 500 kit will be in 1:12 scale!

SO MUCH WANT

That Volvo 244 is a honey though and the Scammell Pioneer too.

That 1:8 Dacia is already being advertised as a partwork. Available in Romania only unfortunately.

How many more beetles & splittie can be done there must be as many as the real thing by now?

We are also experiencing a bit of an H van overload.

The latest Ebbro hopefully comes with "Artsy Fartsy Coffee £7.65" decals.

Interesting that the German Revell S&H Torino issue has no reference to the series on it despite its popularity there.
Royalty avoidance?

The 007 Citroen, oh dear.... someone at the factory hasn't seen the movie, have they?  Should have the rectangular headlights, not round ones!

The 007 2CV is horrid all round:  I'm fairly certain Mr Bond didn't stop to have it signwritten with his codename before setting off down the hill, and I must have dozed off in the scene where they put evenly spaced bullet holes in the bodywork (including the top of the bonnet) while missing all the glass.  Piss poor effort; might have been excusable as a toy in about 1982, but I'm not sure who it's meant to appeal to 35 years later?

Much to drool over otherwise though.

Sadly not. Unfortunately those partworks are only available in the country they are issued.

It is a tad difficult to get ones head around such a marketing concept in this day and age.

It is a quite accurate replica of the 1981 "007" special edition marketed in Germany.

Exactly 700 were sold and in Germany one always had the choice to specify

round headlights at no extra cost while the rectangular ones were available.

^ So it's a fairly accurate replica of a not very accurate special edition?

It looks pants anyway.

Correct on both accounts.

I wonder if anything interesting is heading our way in 1/43 scale

A shitload. But I can't be arsed with microscopes.

Is there enough general interest to justify me doing the ungrateful job of compiling 1:43 news?

I'd hate to do all the hard work if there wasn't.

Am I the only one here who spotted the serious flaw with the front bumper of this?

It's missing the distinctive additional air intake just above the number plate. Since Minichamps and AutoArt have produced models with this opening,

there is no excuse for not doing it right. The image shows they made the correct wider slats just underneath the number plate,

and the additional splitter along the very bottom of the front.

I took the liberty to send those French dolts a nasty email.

They've made it look like a 3 door 1.6 buttery biscuit base with a cheap bodykit, it isn't as if there is a shortage of reference material about. I will probably buy that Airfix VW microbus to go with the Beetle, even though it will be some idiotic scale no doubt.

One of these has just arrived on my desk. Ordered it in December on Otto Club.

I can't find any more information on the 1:18 Otto 480 Turbo though. I'd quite like that as well, seeing as no-one's ever gonna do the 460 in 1:18.

You got that shit right.

Also, did anyone else notice, that they blatantly refuse to sell any Heller kits? Or has anyone seen any? Anywhere?

With that business model, it's no wonder they go bust all the time. But their way of life is better than ours I hear say.

I paid £90 from my MG ZR, now the only model I could find to represent it in my collection was £38, my real ZR came ready to drive and the model in kit form!

If this is the quality of 1 of their "sold built up" kits then I'll give them a miss tbh

I have looked at my kit and wonder how I am going to get a nice finish on it.

Is that Porsche 924 van (VW LT) pre pro got a set of rear wheels on the front? Looks a bit squiffy to me

I had a couple of K&R replica Dolomites years ago and they were actually really good. Everything is metal though, even headlight lenses so it weighed a ton!

I've seen the ZRs built up & they can look pretty good, but that Escort looks like it's made of Lego
