I'm sure something can be arranged. The Marina is quite good apart from the paint & I already have a nice one 😀

Looks like they’ve been left somewhere damp. All look like reasonable restoration projects though!

In other news, these arrived today, from a Corgi Golden Jacks Corvette Stingray20230405_200049.thumb.jpg.f3281e3681375918509ce6ebf245fdaa.jpg

I bought an Oldsmobile Toronado a while ago20230405_200131.thumb.jpg.06075a55cc3fc098aec95c679c4cad06.jpg

@eddyramrodsuggested that the Corvette wheels would look good on it,so I bought a set when they came up

Of course, after buying the wheels complete Corvettes came up in my similar items,so I ended up buying this as well20230405_200207.thumb.jpg.cdfb1091e068ebcdc546d6ea66c789e5.jpg

At least now I can see what the wheels look like on the Toronado before I get another set of tyres 😎20230405_200259.thumb.jpg.e088b47dee06ab624a523b9b07de0ed4.jpg

Yes , perhaps they were in a damp shed ?

Seller said they'd been in a garage for a long time 🙁.I had something similar with a box of cars I got last year, but they weren't as bad & it was mainly just transfers that were coming off

@155V6 If you are wanting to recoup from your investment, there is interest in the Corgi 1:43 Capri (never had one) and the Mangusta next to it (because never had a complete one)

More than a damp shed

They've been immersed in water for some time. From a leak in the roof

That's what I was thinking. Some aren't too bad,I'm guessing they were in the top of the box 🤔

That one ^ really needs saving. The orange Superfast Mustang shouldn't pose too much of a problem, at least there are no decals to replicate. Rockets SL is also a real shame to see in that state.

All depends how deep the corrosion is, I've seen some nasty stuff over the years

Crumbs. Great find, but indeed it's a pity that so many of them seem to have formed a miniature version of that infamous Welsh cave...

All in all, not too bad.A shame they hadn't been stored better, but if they had been,I wouldn't have been able to afford them

A real shame they ended up stored under water! Hopefully they can be brought back to life though with a good clean or strip and repaint.
I’ve found a few over the years that were similar, some seem to come back after a warm soapy wash/scrub but some are a bit far gone without drastic help. I’m still amazed the pot metal they made the body from can corrode like that. I thought the paint would come off but the basic metal would be ok assuming it doesn’t have zinc pest! Clearly not.

Pretty sure @flat4alfa recently had a Husky Mercedes from one of my job lots that had gone similar? I’m sure that one had spent some considerable time either under water or below ground!!

Looks like a good candidate to recreate a Barnfind Hunter episode in miniature! Do I see two DeTomaso Mangusta in there?

I stripped the small one the other week to paint up for my TV sub-collection.  Don't worry, it wasn't even near to perfect.

That Eligor 404 Gendarme wagon rang a bell, so I looked in one of my Police cabinets and lo, there it is, exactly that model.  If backup is needed I have a Solido 504 wagon that can also attend...

I've got the civilian and Pompiers Solido 504 Estates to hand. The police and Red Cross version will be somewhere.

Those Solido 504s are excellent - though they seem to have a lower stance than the ones I dimly remember being on the roads in the 1980s.

I've a modern far-eastern made example that formed part of an Argentinian magazine partwork, which seems to recreate that 'hoicked up' look at the back a bit better.

It's got nowhere near the same amount of appeal as the Solido originals, admittedly!

I didn't know they made the surfboards on Deora II into part of the casting. They used to be detachable!  Those cheap b*starts
