Pretty sure that's a Norev Mini Jet 504...

Mini Jets by Norev

I had one; albeit it had been overpainted in gloopy white gloss paint - and then I had a crack at it with my infernal Tamiya chrome paint pen.

Then the baseplate fell off it.

I don't remember what happened to it, in the end.

Probably for the best; it'd keep me up at night otherwise...

This reminded me I have one & a few others

504 & 305

Entertainer on the moor has loads of hot wheels, the one in Meadowhall has the Matchbox as well. Starting to see Matchbox in Morrisons so might be worth checking the one at Hillsborough barracks or Ecclesfield

While Pamela's going to need a stepladder and a very tall engine crane to sort this one.

Don't remember ever seeing anything like that in real life, but the Matchbox Fandom wiki page does have them listed under the Super Chargers range as the Monster Tractors, with adjacent numbering to the Mud Racers:

Possibly US-only releases? I don't think that sort of competition tractor pulling is so much of a thing in the UK (or wasn't in the late 80's anyway).

It's been popular in parts of Scandinavia since that time

By-the-by, I happened to call into the 'big' Home Bargains last week, and chanced to amble down the toy aisle to see - just to see - if they were stocking any other playsets in the Action Drivers range.

They didn't, though they did have another three of these same Auto Shop sets on the shelf, still priced at £6.99.

Just sayin'.

Possibly the toys were marketed there too - but they don't seem to crop up in any of my UK catalogues from the time.

I don't have my Charlie Mack book to hand, but I'll see what he has to say about Monster Tractors later, sure...

Don't forget to look for  the civic ek9  !

I have been - also went through half my collection this morning! The Bible according to wiki suggests there's a 2023 release so it's probably easiest to find one of those. It doesn't have a number yet so may be a while. Maybe Poundland/Poundstretcher etc will throw up one of the previous releases

Wrong shop then !  I took a chance on this crushed box Revell Mini Cooper  last week being complete . All 3 bags were sealed , taped up , distructions were present .. it was £3 .. A bit choked though, most stuff is 20p usually  . Anyway i made it  and it was all complete . Even had 2 new humbrol tins and a double ended brush . I gently sprayed it with my Fiesta touch up cellulose aerosol and polished it up with Silvo.

Not made a kit for hundreds of years .

I didn't buy that Airfix MK1 kit, but the 50p bins turned up a few bits

Red Rider may not be the rarest of the bunch, but they don't often turn up with the engine intact

Some plastic stuff. VW T3 from Swedish maker Vikingplast and a Stahlberg Volvo. The Volvo is quite large, around 1/20 is my guess.

Both very nice, not seen either before.

I can track down the T3 as it's not a Galanite....

A '57 on big wheels and 4x4 running gear? What a silly idea....

Monogram 1:24 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 'High Roller'

Also have a Monogram Quadzilla monster truck kit which I've often thought needs to be put under something else unlikely.

Unlikely?  A 1960s Ferrari perhaps?
