Finally found the "holy trinity".

I was having a browse in our version of B&M,picked out 3 castings I wanted but there was nothing else really there, went to the cash desk to pay,but there was a queue, so went back around for another look,Lo and behold an assistant had just wheeled up a trolley of stock and had just that second sliced open a new case of Hot wheels!!!

I was on that sucker like a tramp on a discarded bag of chips!!🤣🤣

Further to my posting of HWs in Spanish Lidl. Those images were from the online PDF. In reality there were a lot more.

I did not purchase any. The phone does not like focusing on bubble packs.

Heh, those off-brand Hot Wheels look amazingly shit.

No doubt produced to confuse old ladies out looking to buy a gift for their grandkids.

The pink generic saloon looks a teensy bit like Homer Simpson's car - if you squint a bit.

Picture 1 of 9

The Range sells similar unconvincing 5-pack lookalikes in the UK.

'Metal Car' - no, it's plastic.

Can't trust anyone these days.

Ah,I wasn't aware of that one,the version I found was the blue hatch.

Jap Treasure Hunts seem to disappear instantly, some THs I see over and over again on the pegs like the lilac Skull Shaker from last year

JDM stuff - gone. I would have liked the "Then" version of the MX-5 but I've never seen it anywhere

Hey @MiniMinorMk3, I've got an identical Solido Peugeot 104 with even worse wheels, which I think is a reaction between the hub and tyre materials. Funny that it only seems to affect a few models - the rims on my Solido Citroen LN are unaffected, so it's not a size issue relating to smaller hubs, etc.

I know it's a factor on the wheels of some exotica @barrett is involved in (not) collecting but I thought Solido would be beyond all that nonsense.

Yo! I'm not saying I have a problem throwing things away, but I did just stumble upon part of my collection of pre-health warning fag packets... trying to claw back some more space in my increasingly cramped room (I am a professional motoring journalist, so I have 'a room' instead of 'a house' or 'a flat') and I found some bits which may or may not be of interest here. Speak fast if you want these spares/repairs things otherwise they'll be getting tipped. Yours for the cost of P&P.

20221121_190330.thumb.jpg.eb5c1c9669fae0499a75f284c7a25926.jpg

Matchbox-sized stuff includes Majorette GS and Simca, Lone Star Europa etc Larger stuff is self-evident. All bar the superfast Europa have been drilled, dismantled, painted... strictly spares or repairs. Maybe @eddyramrod would like the 1:43 bits?

Mira Alpine, Schuco Mini Renault, Matchbox Opel + naff Corgi VW

20221121_190457.thumb.jpg.30bfc8b845c9de195fe8b3aa83d698b1.jpg

Minor Million, Corgi Oxford both intact. Matchbox Fiat drilled, painted etc

Vitesse DKW has paint removed from bonnet, missing three tyres. Brumm D-type has damaged.painted windscreen and tonneau. Vitesse Cinq was bought new missing some parts. Box MIA sadly.

Please act fast to claim anything here... Just want a few pennies to cover P&P but if you do want any of this feel free to make a donation to my diecast fund if you so wish!

There's no maybe!  Eddyramrod would, yes please.  I see others have been laying claim too, so whatever's left in 1/43 will be great.  Thank you for thinking of me!

Done. There's a bit of room in your box, so if anything else takes your fancy now's the time to say...

Yo @barrett, is that Corgi Oxford still available? Right up my alley, if so (and I can offer a UK address and cover all costs) but no drama if it's already claimed.

I might have mentioned in an earlier posting that I've discovered a model stall on the indoor market in Ulverston.  Well I went back, and shot the contents of his scrap boxes for you all.

These three above are from the 50p box.

The following are all from the second box; not 50p items but still cheap (his words).

...And then there was the toy fair two days ago at Haydock Park.  I met my sister in the car park and we strolled around the stalls for a couple of hours, spending (by my standards) as if there was no tomorrow.  First, the keepers...

1662623633_SUNP0024(3).thumb.JPG.0c487cac4b20a120ce96d626d03a5eff.JPG

I've already got a civilian version of this, painted to match the real one I had when I picked up Huggy.  I knew there was a Polis issue and for a fiver I wasn't going to turn it down.

155971737_SUNP0025(3).thumb.JPG.086fd730a2f7e7f0b35469f73a1d367a.JPG

These two were in a 50p tub so they came home with me.  The minibus (ideally needing a chop in the wheelbase) will represent the one used in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, while the Corvette just needs a coat of white to become Face's Vette from the A Team.

253213079_SUNP0026(1).thumb.JPG.12076553175fd31a2fb0905837d03ea0.JPG

Three for a tenner?  Don't mind if I do!  ERF is just a nice little truck and has gone on my shelves as-is.  Rover... I probably will strip and paint.  Cortina, well how often do you find one with an intact tailgate?  It's been apart before and been painted, so I'll strip it and do it again.

405080120_SUNP0027(1).thumb.JPG.798ad2dd58431d9357e1a5010bd3dc43.JPG

Horseboxes!  Both intact, but no horses came with them.  The green TK needs a pair of tyres on the drive axle, and while I might strip and paint the unit, the trailer is fine as it is.  I'm not going to do anything to the Lesney Dodge, it's fine.  These were part of a cheap job lot, the rest of which follows (and most of which will be available).

1793460335_SUNP0028(1).thumb.JPG.7b3a563fba7d539459c49caab3b3620d.JPG

The blue Scammell has made it to my shelves because of its intactness, but can go if someone wants it.  The Albion mixer at the back needs a bit of researching as it seems to be a Dinky; I already have a Joal which is clearly a direct copy but has no drum.  May or may not be available.

1888272804_SUNP0029(1).thumb.JPG.9b9261080496c4765c9437ecd9083018.JPG

Transporters, anyone?

42503105_SUNP0030(1).thumb.JPG.229c521beba9c1078fc6295ebfe10486.JPG

Trailers!  The green low-loader is a Lone Star; that's all it tells me.  The repainted trailer behind it may be a Dinky.  Behind that, a Muir Hill tipping trailer marked K6, definitely Matchbox.  Coming forward down the other side we have a couple of Corgi Junior transporters, one of which has a front bogie for drawbar use.  The plastic shipping container is most likely staying, to make a box-body at a later date.  The wide blue trailer has no markings at all.  I suspect it might be Cararama or similar.  The painted trailer and the container are staying, the rest is available.

1153500368_SUNP0031(1).thumb.JPG.7fd8674757a97bf10e00e1d2a1e06cfe.JPG

Here are the two transporters again; I found a couple of old Whizzwheels Ford D series cabs for them in my stock.  The white dropside body is probably staying.  It's marked Corgi Farm Trailer so would have had a chassis once.  Finally the little yellow flat trailer is just marked Hong Kong.

If there's anything you fancy, shout up, deals can be done!

I'd be interested in the DAF car transporter & the plastic Peugeot 403 if he didn't want much more than a fiver for the pair.Probably be interested in some of the transporters from your other post too.

Thats's quite a haul you've found there - some great stuff!

The last thing I need right now is more diecast, but always good to see what's still out there.

I think the blue trailer might be a Britains 9555 Salop Low-Sided Trailer, missing some of its bits - or possibly a copy of one.

See the source image

It looks very familiar to me as I owned one as a kid - and I still had the tailboard kicking round until fairly recently.
