I owned this Wolseley 18/85 around 15 years back

Told myself I would get another Landcrab one day but no, not happened.  Collected* toy cars instead

The transporter is Matchbox and the vans Corgi.

Apparently the K101 and the silver tanker above it were never released, tanker became white instead

One of the Kidco Burnin’ Key range.  Need to find the matching key…

Kidco also did a die-cast version with opening doors, as part of their Lock-Ups series, which didn’t need to fly off into the skirting board.  They just let you lock the wheels so it wouldn’t move.

Yay.  Found  that Kidco Lockup 1978 Dodge Monaco Fire Chief !

Its friends the Matchbox 1965 Ford Galaxie and Yatming 1971 Ford LTD Wagon popped over for a meet

It has a complete set of tyres, and it was all going so well ...until it just had to show off its OPENING THINGS

The event soon folded and they went home

I still have it, somewhere. Naturally missing every single component that wasn't part of the basic moulding – the approach ramps, the fuel pump, the flags etc etc.  I remember thinking the Motel element looked slightly seedy.

I remember the ramps and a few of the flags floating around in a big box I had full of my toy cars, but I think the rest of the set had gone by that point for some reason. Maybe it got broken somehow. 
I always fancied that big truck stop set but never got one. Probably quite expensive at the time.

Theres a good one of those motel sets with a load of cars on eBay at the moment for £50!

Corgi police Beetle is a fairly unusual version with the Carlos Fandango wheels, most often the police ones seem to have the slimmer type

Lastly a CGGC Auto Union, better known as a DKW Munga I believe

I've got one of these in my shed (unbuilt) which has sentimental value because it was the first model aircraft I ever built. It was a great kit, allowed you to make two quite different versions of the iconic Spitfire, think I made the one on the box art with the clipped wings and bubble canopy.

Their military ground vehicles were even better, as they usually came with a diorama base and figures. Monty's caravan (below) was a particular favourite.

No. 40 Horse Box and No. 30 Articulated Truck

The horses are long gone, probably ended up in a tin of Evo-Stick.

The Artic is in good condition

A couple of Fire Trucks, No. 13 Snorkel and No.16 Rollamatics Badger.

Snorkel extends to a great height, Badger has lost its radar receiver.

This was a big modification for the old Merryworth. The top Snorkel arm has discoloured over time.

Stretcher Fetcher with no rear door.

Two Twin pack issues of the old No. 1 Mercedes truck

The red one has the date 1978.

The military version has no date.

More for the variation nerds. Two Jeeps.

One with No.38 Jeep on the base.

The other has No. II Sleet 'n' Snow

The Swamp Rat still has all its propeller blades

Last up is a No. 5 Seafire.

Just a small nibble out of one of the velocity stacks and a chip of paint.

Also a bit of discolouration to the hull.

The swamp rat always fascinated me as a kid, they seemed to go through a phase where military toys were ‘in’ so to speak. Those MB military toys always looked a bit… sinister. 🤔

I had a parcel arrive today containing a job lot, only really had my eye on one of them but there were also two Graffic Traffics (that I already have),

The Supervan,

 And a not bad Corgi Escort 

But the smallest of all, and by far the best was this Lego VW type 3 Notchback

In a different package was a Husky F350 with its tow hook in place

Now I've seen it, it's obvious why they go missing, just an open loop around the end of the plastic arm

There was a chap really into his Husky stuff who made very high quality metal replacement parts, but unfortunately he seems to have blocked me on Facebook after I didn't want to sell him a Cadillac Eldorado - the guy has absolutely stacks of them, just seems to want to acquire every last one on the planet.

I’m currently sat waiting for paint to dry in the bathroom, so I’ve peeled another cast out of the mould. 
This is attempt number 3 now. 
Not actually the clearest photo, but worst at the top which was thinner resin. 
then my original try. 
Then the latest which was normal 3:1 resin:water but used a cocktail stick to gently stir the resin into the mould then push the resin into details and get any air out.

  
Dug out a load of spare parts to trial a 3D printed cab build too while I’m bored waiting. 
Leyland Terrier. Pretty good fit onto a completely unchanged Saviem chassis!

I bought a very similar green Vauxhall Carlton/ Opel Omega A from Alan's 50p Tat Tray a few years back:

I think that was the same week I found the magnificent Kirk Mercedes O-series coach, so this one might have been overlooked in all the hullabaloo.

I thought it was a BMW at first, until I peered closer...

Detailing was... approximate.

It didn't have any maker's name on it, or even a model code to search for.

I believe it went to join the @bunglebus collection sometime in late 2022 - dunno if we ever got to the bottom of who made it, though!

The military toy thing I think was because of the amount of war films that were on TV and at the Cinema. Also Action Man was in his element and kids got loads of guns to shoot each other.
