Those 106 dizzers are ace miserly motors, I love 'em.

 

PS, don't try carrying an early 70's Hammond organ and leslie speaker cabinet in the back of a 106, even if its physically fits. it'll bend the back axle. I found that snippet out the hard way.

You can, however, carry one in the back of a Kia Pride without bending anything. The exhaust does ground out over bumps though.

Just an idea, but have you considered putting in a box that had working gears, selectors and other assorted 'gear boxy' type stuff?

No. I love them. Sold mine on here, to Barefoot. Definately a boys car. Women do not seem to like them much in my experience, although it might just have been with me driving them.

One of the Minis is hers. She's not adverse to getting her hands dirty whilst fettling one of the fleet.

Niische. Mine was an 87 GT by the way, not a GT2. I think the GT2 was a later model (but am often corrected on these sort of thoughts).
