Sad to sell it but missus isn't keen (wants a slightly bigger boat with a cabin), at the moment I'm not getting the time to use it plus I could do with the garage space for a while.

It's a ten foot (open) dinghy c/w a very nice road trailer (which you can also use to launch the boat) and has the added benefit of sails/rudder, oars and a Seagull engine so you can sail, row or power it.

The engine is 2hp I think and is certainly enough to power the boat along, plus it's a two stroke so it sounds ace and smells nice :D

GR8 fun for rivers, canals, lakes and the last owner used it in the sea a couple of times.

Trailer had the bearing done before I got it and it tows ridiculously easily and a small car would drag it along no danger.

(Will get better pictures soon).

£350 ono.

Lovely boat and a great deal for the price! happy0034.gif

If I didn't have two Packrafts, I'd go for that.

This little add on from Clas Ohlson adds to the fun... character0240.gif

Not quite big enough to sail from Paphos to Barrow with all my stuff aboard..... :(

Maybe not, but ideal for plopping in the canal and motoring into Manchester every day! Avoids the traffic, and this boat + boat licence is cheaper than an annual tram season ticket.

It's a plan with no downsides!

I think our own WAT would disagree after watching a burning, twocced canal barge sail past him on the Bridgewater Canal.

That's still less miserable than bus travel.

I never thought about commuting in it! I could get in the Shropshire Union and plod to about 2 miles from work then bike the rest. Just wouldn't fancy leaving it unattended and tied up in the middle of nowhere.

It's a belting little thing and probably ideal for fishing or a tender for a bigger boat as well as a bit of pleasure use.

With a Packraft, you can cycle to the water, inflate your 'Raft, strap the bike on, and paddle off into the sunset, then get back on the bike...

These guy's did a cycle and Packraft expedition on boats that weigh five pounds and pack small!

Non expedition paddling/peddling.

Bic pen for scale!

No worries about leaving stuff unattended for scrotes to steal.

I've got a bigger boat you can hammer over it. Been sitting in the boatyard for over a year now whilst I've been playing with cars. :(

What size is it please? Ideally I want something about 12-14 foot long with a small cabin 'bit'.

Aeronautical: you wouldn't get me in one of those boats sorry, too close to the water and don't like the way your legs go in. I put one foot in a canoe once about 30 years ago now and I'd never ever try again.

28ft long so probably a bit too big for your trailer.

Its a Mirage 28 sailing yacht, fin keel version with loads of extras but needs a bit of tlc.

Yeah, I think trying to fir that in my garage might* be a slight problem!

Right, going to be cheeky and turn this into a tat for sale thread. Next up for grabs is...

Citroen (year) 2000 Picasso 1.6SX petrol.

MOT'd August 2012.

Taxed until end of Jan 2012.

95,000 miles, some history and was formerly owned by a titled owner.

Power steering and all that sort of shit.

Starts first time and engine sounds well and pulls GR8.

According to the fuel computer thing 40.4 mpg round the doors.

Clean inside.

Two keys, log book and handbooks with car, cam belt changed 10,000 miles ago apparantly.

Bad bits:

Has been parked by feel, probably by a blind drunkard. Got the worse of the dent out of the tailgate and starting to make inroads into the n/s/r door but there are other dents, dinks, scratches and scuffs around the car.

Makes a strange sort of rumbly noise the faster it gets. It's not the engine but I think drive shaft related. Last owner said they had one (shaft) replaced) and it's never been the same since. Being honest we looked at them briefly and neither looks like it's been changed in a while. We've topped up the gearbox oil and removed a bit of plastic trim from around the wheel arch area and it the noise is definately quietening down a bit.

So looks a bit shit but goes well, probably make a cheap town taxi for someone...

£595 or offers, available on an exclusive 'buy now, regret later' scheme whereby the monent it sells I'll throw my sim card away and never be heard of again.

I could do with it gone as financial manageress has spied her arse about the bank balance, so offers are more than welcomed.

buggeration!!!

If I'd seen that yesterday I would have replaced the doris's Scoob with it but have just bought another Scoob for her!!

These are pretty dismal but I got 48mpg out of mums on a road trip to Oxford - I was skint, needed to drive to Oxford and back so took her car - one of those "I've got 50 quid to get me home" type trips - watched the sped and it got me home at 60mph returning 48mpg - can't argue with that for a petrol, cheaper to insure and no particulate filter ballax to worry about. Mind you - don't get into the habit of riding the clutch or you will only get 20k out of each plate - proper non clutch riding there won't be a problem but you can say that for most cheap cars.

If you have a pack of MISERABLE SCROUNGING BASTARDS - I mean - Family to lug around and if the kids are at the 'sticky' stage then you cant go wrong with a PICASSER - the one redeeming factor is that you don't get a hernia bending down to fit the toddler into the car seat and with 5 proper seats there is space for Granny in the back to deal with the sick etc.....

or - DON'T HAVE KIDS

forgot to add - was the titled owner the Marquis of Chod? :D

No it was MR Magoo looking at the poor thing. If my Aunties uncles twice removed sons cats kittens did not need a flea collar I would buy that.*

Boat going on eBay shortly :(

A couple of lads at Uni were WELL UP for buying this - they wanted me to unleash my Pete-M approved socket set on it and turn it into some kind budget camera tracking car. It would actually be really good at that, but they can't get insured on it and there's no well in hell I'm storing it at UoS with all those whinging tossers in tow.

Then again, this would make Pingu's work look like the amateurish, thrown together bodgery it is. Horses for courses. Things have quietened down at the unit, but the distribution of space is still crap because SCTSH_ANDY won't get rid of the cars in front of the unit before his internal plan deems it appropriate.

I don't want to rock the boat. GLWTS.

Pingu from Ellesmere Port car auctions or the cartoon character? The former would buy it (for one fifteenth of what's it worth) and the latter is ace.
