I have a small workshop based on a farm that has a few enthusiast types storing odd chod and coming up for a weekend fettle away from the wife. If I'm there, it needs the ramp and it's usually a hurry to get it done due to the distance out of town. Just pulled a Toyota in when a chap 3 units down comes wandering up with a bit of metal in his hands "cor... I've had a right game putting this patch in, even on the lowest setting it's blowing holes" 51 plate Ka, arc welder. Like trying to refloat the titanic with a party balloon

Irish plate to disguise the mot history and more p38 than the average 'shiter buys in a lifetime. Unless you are in Ireland and a magnet sticks to it, in which I claim diplomatic immunity and the other stuff.. £5?

Just spoke to Daz (bub), sounds utterly terrible but alive. Rang me to check if it was ok to cancel his cambelt replacement on Thursday. Absolute legend, suspected stroke and he is more worried about letting me down. Sakes man! Get well!!

Search for Plymouth valiant on here, it was an uncomfortable way to meet your hero also lose total faith in fellow mans honesty, and 2 grand.. -
After the filler laden Valiant debacle last year, you (as a reasonably sane person) would assume that another fantasy Yank Tank wouldn't come into view for a loooooong time. No. This happened after just two pints!!!! A 1997 Ford F150 4.2 V6, It's a rare OK , KA, TX spec XL which means peasant spec interior and ice cold A/C. Bought new by a young lady on her way to the US Army who (kept every single document EVER!) then had it shipped to the UK and carried on with it until last year whereby a South African guy over here took it in as trade against a new F150 and sold it to me after I ruined myself forever credit wise! It was up for £4995. I hit buy-it-now. I'm awaiting my Dad to pop round with his camera, but this thing is mint (the chassis needs scrubbing and painting, dry state spec no underseal) Oh, and it has a spanish , MANUEL WITH 3FT GEAR LEVER

Dollywobbler's Omegawd - Cruisin' (old people can do it too)
DaveAspley replied to dollywobbler's topic in AutoShite
Just been past the station and those two trains are at the platform still. Good to meet you and a good job done on the Omega judging by the state of the filters. Had a brainwave though, as it's the driveshaft seals leaking it may be possible to fill up the diff through the driveshaft holes whilst they are out if they are on the same level as the plug? -

Everything is set at this end , plan is to work on the omega over tomorrow evening then it's all ready for Friday at any time. I'm actually looking forward to it as it's a reminder of my younger years as a Vauxhall botherer -
Ramp It Up - Rent a 2 post lift or bay per hour in Bristol

Sounds like some of the heroes from ClickMechanic who I occasionally take jobs on behalf of. The 24% commission and the expectation of basically rebuilding a wreck at the side of the road in the rain and wind makes me laugh..but there is dudes out there who will....
