Mr 6C  introduced to my local and I had my first ride in a DS, not my first proper Citroen as I had a BX diesel and a BX 4x4
A3072 reported clear at Bickleigh so hopefully no diversions needed tomorrow.
Scottish contingent - tea, coffee,  milk (10l) and sugar provided in Club so no need to purchase
I'm off to bed now so safe journeys tomorrow

RE weather, which is looking shit, Mr Kirton, will the field turn into the FOD 2016 and need wellies, or will boots be alright? "
If we get enough rain the entrance to the grass area will get chewed up if too many go driving in and out;  so with sensible use, ie drive in on arrival and drive out when leaving,  it will probably be ok;  so far the ground is bone dry.  We have hard standing for at least 20 cars IF cars are parked without huge gaps between.  Wellies may be worth having to be on the safe side.
DOGS:  as you may expect we don't like dogs on the pitch as they tend to leave deposits for footballers to roll in.  The groundsman has said ok to  dogs for SF19.  Be aware that here are rabbits that come out at night and there are likely to be chickens and sheep in neighbouring filelds.  There are  dog poo bins around the village so spot where they are for your poo bags.
I've just ordered 10 litres of milk from the Community shop for Friday morning to avoid them running out.  I can get more when needed.
The Zumba ladies use the clubroom on Friday morning so upstairs is out-of-bounds until they have gone - by 11'ish.
There will be quite a lot of rubbish to get rid of on the Monday collection. So it's please separate out tins and bottles from black bag rubbish  to make  life easier on Sunday afternoon.
There is a microwave in the kitchen where you can heat up pasties etc.
If I ask the kitchen ladies would trays of roast potatoes and sausages go down well in the evenings - no promise, but a possibility.  We'll have a scratch card to pay for it.
Can anyone planning to arrive before Friday morning let me know so I can make arrangements.  Staying Sunday night is no probem.
I think we will have an honesty box in the clubroom for site fees - £5 per night stay and £5 for a day visit with free tea and coffee.  The bar should be open Friday and Saturday, can't say what times. - remember - CASH ONLY.
I think that covers most things but do ask if there is anything else you want to know.

Yes, and Bucketeer.  I'll introduce you to the Half Moon, a local Pub for local people: there is a local who is a spitting image of Tubbs from League of Gentlemen.
You may get to see the Crediton Ferrari

Mr 6C has met Roy the most important man in the Club. The rain has so far passed Cheriton by; I've been watching the rainfall radar and well within 5 miles must have had a soaking
The lady with the e28 525e offered it to me a while ago but Mrs K was with me so you know how that went.  In many ways a more sensible car than the M5 which should make an appearance on Saturday morning  or be a Shitefest fixer up

Bacon, eggs, bring anything that fits in a frying pan, it will get eaten, and bring the frying pan as well as we don't  have those in the club kitchen.
A3072 is blocked by a lorry where it leaves the Tiverton to Exeter road at Bickleigh; for Bucketeer it he gets there before it is cleared - stay on Exeter rd, take right  turn to Thorverton about 2 miles on and stop at shop there for directions to Cheriton Fitzpaine, don't just ask for Cheriton as you may get sent to Cheriton Bishop

You should be able to stay in the club overnight so air bed would be a good bet.
with roasties and sausages for at least Friday night, the health freak Scotish breakfast on Saturday and farm shop fry up on Sunday morning you will need a lot of alcohol to keep the arteries from clogging up

You can come on Thursday but for the club to be opened for toilets etc we will need to be sure that there will be someone on site; a wide open unattended club won't be covered by our insurance, and nocturnal removal men are not unknown around here.  Mrs K and I may be out for the day and not back until after 6 to open up.
The farm shop has a toilet but closes at 6;  the Half Moon opens by 7. The Ring of Bells is probably open at 6 - it's just had a glowing write up in the Daily Telegraph.  The hedge is there 24/7/365.
So far the rain has missed us and the ground is bone dry and hard.  For those arriving when we have had the promised rain I'd suggest driving in, turning around and having a straight run into the 5-a-side area by the road - it will minimise churning up the entrance  (I have seen the photos of SF16!)
Milk will be in the kitchen aroud 10am on Friday morning.  The bar will be open from mid afternoon;  roasties and sausages for 7?  I cleared the freezer cabinets in Crediton Tesco of footballer grade stocks  this morning.  I'll try to restock on Saturday if needed.
For those coming south on the M5;  should there be problems on the A361 to North Devon go to the next junction down for Cullompton, turn right into town, (Tesco is just down the road)  left at the lights, after about 200m the road narrows, turn right just before the narrowing and this which takes you to Tiverton, left at the bottom of the hill in Tivvy, over the river and left to Exeter, right at Bickleigh to Crediton and follow the strawberry signs.
    Safe journeys!
