1995 Rover 800 Vitesse fastback-

I've decided to get hold of a knackered Morris minor which means this is now for sale. It's a 1995 rover 800 Vitesse manual, 2 litre t series turbo,180bhp. Charcoal metallic, recaro sports seats mot to November. 46k showing and seems genuine from the history, it was off the road from 2002 to about 2011. It's pretty decent with straight bodywork, a Little bubbling on 2 arches, and the Paint on the bumpers isn't great in parts. drives brilliantly though the rear shocks are past their best, and there's an intermittent fault with the electric windows sometimes not working that needs a wire wiggling ( needs resoldering i think) and some dash lift (both common 800 issues) Recent new battery, 2 new tyres, cambelt, and any questions just ask.

Shiters price £300 Tavistock Devon

Thats a cracking car for the money.

How much are you selling the 600 turbo for trigger?

THE WANT IS REAL.

I genuinely could buy this right now. The distance is... somewhat daunting though.

Hmmm.... I do have a long weekend at the beginning of June that I'm not sure what to do with...

Just do it, one of the British car industry's greatest* cars, a barge and a manual transmission...all things your Omega weren't. :P

WCPGW.

Also means I save money by not getting it...

Just do it then it'll be considerably closer to me if it comes up for sale again. Oh and bung the Metro in the boot.  :-D

I have the 1st-6th of June booked off anyway...

Fly to Exeter on the 1st, and make it up to Knockhill to watch the super touring cars by the 3rd? Hmm.

If you do it Supernaut, you would be congratulated with a lukewarm case of cider when you arrive at Knockhill for the Super touring Festival on the Saturday, as well as a free gearknob from a Rover 45.

Location? (though it sounds impossibly northern)

Opposite (from memory)

I could even take the Tuesday / Wednesday off too, do a shite tour of the UK...

Anybody between Aberdeen and Devon want my Xantia for £300?

Hey, Coffees, where was that cider place you liked? I could pick up some drums of it while I'm down there.

Visit Shitefest on the way back.

Shitefest is kind of east, and I'd want to head north to get to Knockhill for the weekend to see the super touring...

I haven't advertised it yet as i still haven't got the log book back and the new water pump is leaking again (shitty Eurocarparts) so i need to fix that first but i was hoping to get around £1200 seeing how much people are asking for the rusty ones. Seeing as I've still got it I'll probably be taking it to Shitefest first before selling it now.

So, this car is cheaper for me to insure than the Xantia.

Tavistock to Knockhill is 512 miles. Easily done over a couple of days.

HNNNNGH.

Sounds like you've already talked yourself into it. No point fighting it, just do it.

Take a mate with a licence and you can bring me back a Metro

Looks a barg that, actually, all the motors your flogging look cheap.

If you roffled them, I am sure they would sell out easily.

I did over 700 miles in one day in a c15 van. Between a xantia and a 800 should be fine!

Mr Coffees is busy those days. I have PMed the custodian of this particular fine motor vehicle, and a completely insane plan is forming in my head... Sort your own arrangements for the Metro!

I would recommend Sandford Orchards in Crediton. Not much of a detour off the A30/A38. They sell from the farm gate, was about £30 for 40pints last time I bought, they've an award winning scrumpy (which I can and have drunk all day) and some chewy cheesy dry numbers if you're that way inclined (try Shaky Bridge).
