Just Watching MINDER at present

Turned over and within 2 seconds I'm looking at an early Mk2 Escort, Porsche 911 Carrera, countless Cortinas, a Volvo 240, (there are a lot of RED cars)

It's worth watching if just for the spotting!

Red cars... you seem surprised. All I have to say about that is, when did Brussels sneak in the legislation that all new cars have to be black or grey? Once upon a time, when the lower orders were allowed to dream, we could have them in any colour we liked. Sebring Red, Peppermint Green, Signal Yellow, Pageant Blue... those were the days.

And yes, the spotting does enhance the experience, but Minder was actually well written and well made anyway, so it is always worth watching. Not like the Cumberland Gap they foist on us now. EastEnders? Is there a smiley for throwing-up?

Trig, are you sure about copyright? If you're confident, then well done, I wouldn't even know where to start grabbing screenshots like that.

Blimey! any photos?, I tried the plate in the DVLA site and it wouldn't come up with anything?

I can't say I'm all that fussed about copyright, people have asked me about that with my magazine scans but i'm never had any messages apart from loads from people thanking me weekly for doing them.

As for screenshots i just downloaded Videolan (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) and play the video through that, It has the option for screenshots under the video tab, It saves them straight to your pictures folder.

No photos but I bought it off a neighbour and sold it on as a runner. I only found out its TV history after I'd sold it on.

Tidy condition as well.

Does it look like this one?

That Warren Wotshisname iirc. The coppers were great on Minder. The two CID bods were Rycott and, best of all, "Cheerful Charlie' Chisholm. The episode where Arthur was doing jury service is just a classic. You're right though. - Minder was very well written with great acting and plots, and was often quite bitter-sweet. I have most of them on DVD.

East Enders. I had it on in the background in the other room the other day, and the minute I heard that fucking ginger bint shouting 'RICKY!!!!!!!!' i had to turn it off. It's a depressing show about Cockney Losers.

I viewed that Minder at 7.30am this morning! Great stuff. Only perfected when it's followed by The Sweeney and The Professionals.

It's the episode where Arthur buys all those confiscated porn mags iirc? They all end up in the back of a fifties Austin Princess that Terry is driving to a wedding - with the Bride on board. :D

Strictly speaking The Sweeney should be first up, but I'll take them in any order, it's all top quality. And if you want to add any of the 60s Monty Berman stuff, go ahead, it'll keep me off the internet for hours!

Local English-language radio here is called Rock FM, and is pretty crap most of the time. However they have a new show on Sundays, 1-3 local time, featuring movie theme music. Last Sunday it was nearly all TV detectives, including The Sweeney of course, and the show closed on The Professionals. I actually phoned in to congratulate Max, the presenter. Credit where it's due and all that...

It is pretty mouthwatering, isn't it? Do I get bonus points for having owned examples of three of the cars in shot? And multiples, in two cases?

(Edit: I can't tell what the black thing is, behind the white Transit. If it's a Volvo 244, then make that 4 not 3...)
