JeeExEll Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 I'd love one of these. RayMK and willswitchengage 2
JeeExEll Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 Strathclyde Mk2 3.0S with the separate GRP front spoiler. Sports steelies rather than 'S' alloys. Some police-spec ones had all-black seats rather than the then-current stripey ones.Regd same month the Mk3s came out, would guess acquired at heavily discounted price. Road tax due Sept 1983. A 5 year life, hmmm. junkyarddog, egg, adw1977 and 5 others 8

JeeExEll Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 1975 pic. Very basic spec pre facelift 3000GT on hubcap steelies, not even the fake side vents. Asimo, NorfolkNWeigh, Amishtat and 2 others 5
JeeExEll Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 TNA 541K was part of a run of consecutive-reg numbers. Decommisioned 1975 and sold to Joe Public.
JeeExEll Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 A 1976 pic of it's brother 547, another 3000GT. Wonder if it's still around. mercrocker, Asimo, Dick Cheeseburger and 3 others 6
JeeExEll Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 Well, errm, it looks like the circus bought it at some point. I'd like to see Car SOS try to restore this back to original police-spec.Start with the windscreen scuttle panel and work outwards. NorfolkNWeigh, Amishtat, willswitchengage and 4 others 7
LightBulbFun Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 1975 pic. Very basic spec pre facelift 3000GT on hubcap steelies, not even the fake side vents. going horribly off topic but check out those Thorn Alpha 6 Street lights! stupidly rare these days as they where all replaced in the early 1990s when the lamps for them ended production in the late 1980s, they used SLI/H lamps a double ended form of Low pressure sodium lamp that reigned supreme for a while before conventional Low pressure sodium lamp formats caught up http://www.lamptech.co.uk/SLI.htm http://www.streetlightonline.co.uk/a6prelphotos.htm http://www.streetlightonline.co.uk/a6200igphotos.htm also fucking massive I bet they where fun when it got windy.... mercrocker and JeeExEll 2

MikeR Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 this page is like a line up of the Wacky Races ,,,,,,,,, with a strong nod to The Arkansas Chug-a-Bug with its coal fired engine !!!! JeeExEll 1
RayMK Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 What's the car on the right? FB_IMG_1549818973284.jpg My guess is that it's an Austin 10 Sherbourne or Lichfield from 1935ish. The photo does not give away much except for the depth from the roofline to the rear window, the proportions of the rear window itself and the rear wings partially enveloped by the bodywork. It may have a luggage trunk covering the spare wheel flap. I looked at Singers, Morrises, Hillmans, Lanchesters and Wolseleys but all seemed to differ significantly from the vehicle in question. mercrocker and egg 2
