So on Saturday I swapped a Triumph for a Triumph, the Acclaim for a TR7, I am chuffed, honestly. In comparison to the TR7 the Acclaim is truly a rocket ship. The TR7 looks and feels like it was nailed together by disinterested Girl Guides but it is cracking. It overheats, but not on me so far, it drinks oil but neither burns nor leaks much and the coolant honks of petrol, do I have a HGF? I shall leave it with Les at BL Transverse as usual and get his opinion, lovely old crate though!

That is definately one built by disinterested Brummies. The Scouse ones stopped a couple of years before that. If it's got a 5 sp box, it's not Scouse.

It is Canley built apparently. It is a great concept and still looks surprisingly fresh, it isn't the best built car in the world but it's made it to 30 years old, a proper fragger dodger!

The wheels are MGF I'm told, I'd much prefer the originals!

I have got it bad but the new rule are the cars/bikes have to be legal or made legal immediately and no f-ing about, when I have all the fun I want with them they must go. TR7 plan is Les to have a look, get it running well or off it goes, in fact get it running well AND off it goes also applies!

It will get punted on. I love driving it, essentially it's a great car with superb handling but just not running right and leaking oil, I'd prefer something a little more mundane, a VP 1500 would be ideal!
