Quite a few people on the train seem to have them. 

I now need a poo but an stuck in my seat. The train is wedged.

Train 2 gave me just a 3 minute transfer time mincing walking speed from platform 1 at Birmingham to platform 10a then discovering the train has broken down and now goes from 11a....

Still not had a poo or a wee. 

On some DMU thing that doesn't seem to have a shitter....

Arrived home about threeish. Had a jiggle around of the cars as I'll use the Polo till the weekend. Drive home was without adverse event

Mk1 son thinks it's very good for the money. 

Used about a quarter of a tank on the drive home (approx 165 miles) 

Eventually got the radio tuned into radio 4

Will be replacing the stock radio with my Sony unit once the leads and adaptor arrive off ebay. May have to try and add in some more speakers as being basic it comes with just 2 dash mounted things. 

Handling was good, it's not rapid but sits happily at motorway speeds without making you deaf. Brakes are excellent. Seats are OK, though you wouldn't want to do lots of long trips on them. Blower works, heater works, windows work for seeing through. It is pretty much what it is. If you have ever driven a City bug Mk1 then it's broadly similar.

Why? Well why not - they do make clearing the boot of bits of shit (dust, rubbish etc) easy - and the last one I had saved the Polo's boot carpet from being soaked in oil.

Like the Mk1 Citybugs the Alto/Pixo only has some very crappy dash mounted card cone speakers - as Im slapping in the Sony I thought the least I could do was pop in a pair of slightly better 4" speakers.
They wont produce Hardon Kardon quality hi fidelity, but as I mostly listen to Radio 4, I dont really care.

And, to make @Cavcraft shudder because the standard wheel trims are scuffed up to buggery, Ive gone down the Buster Rhymes route for some wheel trims. I "think" they will look OK once on. Time will tell. The  Alto will take Mk1 14" Citybug wheels as a direct fit, so I'll keep an eye out for some suitable alloys in the future

Old radio (adequate) removed and an hour dismantling the dash I had the Sony radio fitted (misplaced my surround, it will look a bit more like once that's fitted) 

New power points. 

OBD display that tells me revs water temp and so on. 

Wired in dash cam and fitted some USB power points next to the fag lighter socket as there was a spare round hole. 

Phone Bluetoothed to Radio now for hands free telephone calls from younger daughter on my way home from work

Polo went off to its new owner today... Sad, slightly emotional.

Eventually I want some white steel wheels but certainly begrudge paying £200 for a set of NOS Aygo rims to get powder coated so in the meantime to replace the scratched up OEM rims....
