The Rowdy Audi S4 B5 - is it a dog? yes but less so as the days pass.

Howdy shiters.

Thought I would start the new thread for collection for my potential new car. Will be a long day ahead of me. As mentioned in my other thread this is a "replacement" for the R8, but i think more inkeeping with who i am as a person.

The new car does have its issues but thankfully i know someone who just specialises in these cars. As in he essentially does on work on anything else and he is very reasonably priced. Which is good because working on these cars is definitely not easy.

In other news my train has been cancelled...

Thankfully there are alternatives available.

Plans for the new car will probably be some track action, it will be upsetting some very fast race cars.

Any more clues, was the last one twin pressure enhancers and a V8 ?
Twin turbo V6

Ill chuck in more of a clue though it may actually not help at all.
Its not got the original engine, its from a similar model of the same year. With the same displacement. Its modified to produce 600hp

Scorchio has got it early doors.
Audi S4 with an RS4 engine.
Problems are exhaust manifold leaking (engine out job). Abs warning on plus i suspect a few other issues. This sounds like an extremely quick way of loosing a license 😅

I presume it's still quattro to have any hope of getting that power down without doing a four-wheel burnout down the road?

Posted

Still has the quattro system. I previously had an s4 with the original engine but rs4 turbos. That made 440hp and the torque was crazy. This will be less torquey due to the rs4 heads and also it has rs6 turbos. Also has water meth injection and switchable tunes. The conversion was done quite a long time ago so we will see how its held up.

Journey update.
I am currently on route from Stockport to Basingstoke. Currently in Crewe. Hour switchover in london so in for a fairly long journey!

Always loved these especially in Nogaro blue avant form, looks like it will be fun

Noggys are very popular. This one is a kingfisher which supposedly is a particularly rare colour.

Nice.

How does one own such a car and a gravel driveway whilst keeping the massive windows intact on their house?

Off topic but I got better phone signal when in the Channel Tunnel than I sometimes do in my own bloody house.

I think it's a new thing, have noticed myself but a couple of years ago there was nothing.

Ooh proper proper car 😍 a couple mates have had a pair of these, one around 400bhp the other 600+. The only 2 cars I’ve ever been around that made you feel like you were in the presence of something properly special in a bite your arm off kinda way, like swimming with a shark almost. One of these and/or a b7 or b8 RS4 is on the bucket list.

Safe travels!

It's another addition to the underground's service level. The service is so good that if you push the call button, the train's on board hosties will now bring tea/coffee many angry people wanting to know why you've stopped the train

Must be mega excited to be picking this up, what a weapon. Such a conveyance would make a cracking sleeper.

Next stop basingstoke. Very excited. Little apprehensive on what its going to be like but lets hope it lives up to expectations.

Silence as just picked up.
Owner was a nice guy. Car is... okay.
Definitely needs a lot of work but has the potential to be a bit of a weapon!

Ive got myself to reading for some food.
I had to go halfords for some power steering fluid and new wipers but it drives alright aside from the exhaust blow and a million lights on the dash. Also the windows dont go down and the central locking doesnt work.
The bodywork is okay apart from the rear bumper and the rear bootlid. The other half is not impressed with the bucket seats and the harness but i dont think she will be a passenger too much in it. Long drive ahead but it seems to cruise alright

Either the exhaust blow is loud enough to drown out the moanings or the Carbon Monoxide will send everyone to sleep to not need moanings !

About an hour and 20 mins from home. Stopped for a comfort break.

It drives well considering, the exhaust blow is annoying as is the christmas tree on the dash.
