I don't really like photos like this, That must be the driver that they are standing around :?

It reminds me of one i saw on rotten.com once with a Ferrari where first you saw the engine, then the back of the car then the driver wrapped around the armco, I was nearly sick.

I remember that too, in fact it comes rushing back every time I see a Ferrari 355. It's for this reason, and this reason alone, that I drive a MX5 rather than a 355

I really HATE seeing the aftermath of fatal accidents whilst on my travels.

It really upsets me to think that there may be a small child in a classroom somewhere completely oblivious to the fact that he/she will never see mummy of daddy again. Or the thought of a wife at home ironing her husbands shirts without knowing that he isn't coming home again....

I may be no angel at work but my first priority is making it through the day without killing or seriously injuring anyone.

I agree with Warren. You see these bad smashes and can almost hear the knock at the door.

As a copper, it's the worst thing you'll ever have to do. But spare a thought too for fire crew and paramedics.

I do. And the recovery driver who has to pick up the blood stained wreckage.

Very very good point. I'm no angel either, but if you gotta go, better it's in your own ride and on your own, with nobody else involved. On the plus side, I don't have any kids to leave behind, at 47 I have managed to avoid that so far!

feck, that is harsh. As much as I hate driving modern cars, if that was a new Renault Megane I bet the geezer would be hopping out...

+1. Always puts a downer on my day.

But I'd defo have that engine away while the coppers weren't looking.

It's not like you can't have a fatal accident in a 5 star EuroNCAP rated car.
