I love a high mileage hero (200k plus).

So, if you spot one while perusing the classifieds, share the link.

If a similar thread already exists, let me know and I will delete.

This one is giving me the horn at the mo.

Should be giving you the red flag, I don’t know about the horn. ‘Trade Cars’ and it’s probably been cabbed. 😂😂😂

What is even more  heroic is that for reasons I don't understand, Toyota odometers stop increasing at 302,000 miles, so there is every chance its done far, far more than that mileage!

They’ve all been a hero for someone but likely a burden to you. You get a feel when you’ve done a lot of miles in something when it’s on its way out, a mate of mine bought something at 300k recently, it’s totally fucked, first week ABS light was on, month after turbo went, 2 month after that DPF went. There’s no short cut to easy street, plenty to the workhouse mind.

Still €11000

And that's cheap. Almost exclusively EV new car sales in recent years have destroyed the used car market here.

The Hyundai I had sold for the same price now as it was almost 5 years ago.

Dunno you miserable bugger. Depends on the stakes. If @Cookiesouwest took that A6 on (950 quid probably 800 by the time you've talked his ears off) it might be a goodun or a nightmare. But it's not much brass to lose. But if it is a goodun. Think of the glory man 😁

Aye it's a lottery. I've had a 225,000 mile Cavalier that had been meticulously maintained and ran like a Swiss watch, yet everything seemed to be expiring one after the other on the 215,000 mile forum A8 (which was expected).

All to do with the Mayan calendar. Once all the Toyotas in existence get to 302,001 the world will end.

I read that on the internet so it must be true 😂

It’s not no but I’ve got to the point I cba with changing cars every 5 business days. £800 I could be spending on the house or going on holiday. A worn out A6 just doesn’t get me wet enough I’m afraid!

A mate bought a cheap Cav with 250+K on it, it drove like a new car, EVERYTHING mechanical must have been replaced at some point in it's life and it had been very well maintained. I couldn't believe how good it was, it must've been a revelation to remember it now.

It can happen.

I agree if it were my only car.

But for a toy / fun car on fleet, it wouldn't matter if it turns out to be fucked.

Not an ad, but this late S210 Mercedes E220 CDI has 753k miles on the clock.
