SiC Posted March 20 Posted March 20 People have had problems with them but generally from not changing fluids. Somewhere on here I have my 9-5 and Laguna II V6 fluid changes on that box. The best way to change the fluid thoroughly is to remove one of the cooler lines and dump it into a bucket with the engine running in park. Measure carefully what came out and refill through the dipstick tube. This is effectively Alternatively you can suck the fluid out the dipstick tube with a Pela pod and refill with the same amount. Checking the level requires the fluid at an exact temperature using a scantool. Drain and refill you can do a couple of times (with a hundred miles between changes) to get most of it changed over. Strictly speaking less risky to dump and refill as you keep some clutch material in it if it's worn. I used Mannol oils as it was a lot cheaper than the genuine crushed unicorn juice. Never seemed to do any harm and drove smoother afterwards.

Won't get as much out as removing a cooler line and effectively the same as sucking out of the dipstick tube. Dipstick tube suck just saves jacking it up. Refilling is always done through the dipstick tube.
