fatharris was there wearing a firmly done up hoody unless on camera
Hate to disappoint, but the only time it was zipped up was in the upper floor of the jaguar collection as the spaces between the cars were narrow and I didn't want to catch anything with my zip

No I can confirm it was un-zipped when I saw him.

But the sun was out then, when it went in it did get chilly, I grabbed my hoodie. Can't complain though a ls it was still fucking good weather for it, in a months time it'll seem like it was still summer

I dragged my better half along to this Yesterday, was fun and there was thankfully quite a few different motors on display (compared to the spring Rustival).  Sadly I seem to have temporarily lost my photo mojo so no terrible pictures from me this time...

High light of the day (apart form an excellent but expensive pork, stuffing and apple sauce baguette! ) was hearing a small boy innocently ask his dad "Who is Jackie Stuart" whilst looking over Jackie's Tyrell inside the museum, I almost expected Jackie to magically appear on has tartan trousers "Helloo I am Jackie Stuart, 3 times F1 World Champion, can I talk to you about safety in motor sport?"

Cars of the day for me were the Alfa SZ, that Harlequin Skoda Estelle and the lovely 1960s-70 Skoda Octavia Estate......

Just found that my Forester is amongst the cars Practical Classics photographed, its on their facebook page! The irony of having to take the Scoob instead of the not quite ready yet Rover 800, is that the 800 would have been one of 4 on display were as the Forester was all on its own......

It somewere amongst this lot.....

I had a really good day, I feel like I missed loads of people though! Good to catch up with those that I did though!

I took the XR3i which performed absolutely faultlessly, 300 miles cost me £40 of E5 which I though was pretty good too considering I was doing 70-75mph all the way!

Alway photo dump time

I think all of us organising were utterly blown away by this one. Trying to pick a favourite car was nigh on impossible (I went for the Mazda 626 GTI 4WS in the end). Having a Pontiac Le Mans parked next to a Belmont CD was just one of many magic moments (Matt Furious Driving wisely picked the Pontiac as his fave but we failed to find the owner in time!)

The winners.

The BMW E12 was our overall joint favourite. A South-African car that moved to Portugal then was picked up by the penniless current owner who eventually managed to get it roadworthy, then moved to the UK. Steph chose the PA Cresta, Carly the Transit and the RX8 belong to The Moaning Yorkshireman who won our Creator Competition.

Certain clothing did not go unnoticed.

I had the same kind of thing… I intended to take the 2CV, but opted for the comfort of the 9000 for the long journey. As it goes my 9000 was the only one there, but there were a good few 2CVs!
