Could the South Coast be the Espero capital of the UK?

Well....That's two anyway! :?

Oh, and some good spotting going on there by the way!

Last few miserable spots of the year. December has been truly awful for seeing anything of note tbh, can't wait for the weather to improve a bit

This is a Veddy Local Minor. See it every day. I like it a lot. SO THERE

Must be unusually early? I've seen this being driven about like an absolute twat by some horsey looking c*nts

1988 Mitsubishi Pajero by barrogance, on Flickr

This this is a familiar sight in the four fuggin' corners of Brighton & Hove. No matter where I am, I'm sure to see it, this time parked directly outside of work. I reckon it must be somebody collecting rent or summat, probably Van Hoogstraten's missus

May I be the first, Mr B, to say thank you for another 12 months of top class spottings and entertainment with it.

Happy new year!

Wow, that Traction-Avant is a bit of a spot. What was the deal with that? On french plates so has someone come over for the weekend in it? If so MUCHUS RESHPECK!

This thread is legend. Thank you.

Don't think that Shogun/Pajero is particularly early; IIRC they started here on an A-plate. Re the horsey tossers' driving, just relax in the knowledge that Pajero is Spanish for wanker.

It is! Comedy genius, and great spotting!! Does anyone else think the wheels on that Mk 2 'tina are stupidly small?!

HEY GUYS! WHAT'S UP???

2013 has been pretty rubbish for spots so far, these dark Winter months are hardly conducive to old cars getting out and about, or me ever leaving my house unless I absolutely have to. We started in a particularly dull fashion with this allegedly rare Saab 900 'Carlsson'

This, however, I would absolutely ROK. I have decided I need a Seven at some point in my life

Those Mustangs might be almost as awkward looking as that Transit* but it is nice to see one on the proper wheel trims rather than the usual Torque THRUST alloys.

Top spots as always. Is there any chance of someone spotting your own car on the road soon?

Absolutely nil! However, I am booking my test(icles) this week for the end of April, so I should be out in something before too long. I already have my eye on a couple of worthy* candidates.

The Bond needs loads of money chucking at it (which I don't have at the moment) and I am thinking about farming out most of the welding work to the guy who replaced the sill on the Simca, as it was such a lovely job and very reasonable. Then hopefully a new wiring loom (£200) and try and get the thing running right (carb rebuild, at the very least) and sort the brakes from sitting, then hopefully that should be enough to at least try for a test. I haven't touched it for about 4 months and I'm feeling pretty guilty about the whole thing but I just haven't had the time/money/energy to do owt to it. One day, though!

Anyway, here's a bonus from yesterday at the office. Original solid tyres ftw

I don't think I've EVER heard anyone suggest that those early Mustangs look anything less than superb!!

mega shite spotting there mate. love the datsun 120y. this wouldn't be up for grabs by any chance would it

@55bloke: They're not superb, they're okay. Like the Thunderbird, they have this sort of ungainly, slightly blingy approach to styling that's neither charming nor stunning just sort of awkward, like a granny who wears a shell suit and insist on keeping the blue rinse and the gold antique jewellery. It's all at sixes and sevens with itself.

Above all else, they're a product of their time and place. I absolutely love them.

Yep. I bought it the week it came out which is the only time I've ever done that. Normally I'm at least five years off the pace with my album purchaseage.

Cheers for teh spotz btw.
