They don’t say “good moaning” either!

They do if you do your job right...

This is a completely different tree to the other one that’s fell down…

went to Clee Hill earlier today to go sledging

Better sledging in Cleobury than on the common and a snow day means a great vibe in the pubs. A few lads went up there on an adventure and got stuck, emergency services refusing to attend, took them about 8 hours to get sorted out apparently? Sure they'll learn from it?

Had a bit in Lincolnshire this morning. Not a lot really but enough to get some nice pictures of the ‘outdoor’ fleet.

This has been one of the most challenging winters I've ever experienced in nearly 25 years as an archaeologist. The main issue has been the rain which makes groundworks and surveying difficult or actually impossible ( geophysical survey probes literally go to ground in very wet or waterlogged conditions), trenches fill with water or collapse due to weight of water in the sections. I had a completely different issue today though, even though I somehow managed to get the Astra of doom up a very steep snow covered unsurfaced forestry track to my dig site the entire area was covered in snow making any further progress impossible. I probably should have broken out the Landrover but I've filled that with crap to take down the tip so there was no room for my kit.

The site looked like the opening scene from Gladiator.

For the benefit of proper Norsemen like @Dyslexic Viking yes it isn't actually all that snowy, but thanks to our trademark damp climate it does feel unbelievably chilly.

I felt rather overdressed on my visit to Scandinavia Christmas before last.

My car, yesterday. Bucuresti.  All that snow fell between 19:00 Tuesday and 8:00 Wednesday.

With the first glance I thought your tractor only had three wheels, then I realised the bucket was full of snow 🙃
